They were released at SDCC '05.
I think I just saw on that other forum that someone mentioned one going for $150 on ebay. That sounds a little crazy to me, but what do I know?

yeah I just found my bag and header and it was reffered to as the pre-release version, mine is 26/100. when I got my second one I was really expecting to pay around $150.00 but I got it in a trade.
