Thanks to those who turned out. IF YOU MISSED OUT,PLEASE! DON'T PAY THE FLIPPERS if they turn up. I have ordered many more SMOKE X VANILLA. In a month or two I should have them.

Definitely not a sure fix but one method that might help in screwing over flippers could be printing the original retail price on the headers??

Re: Mr. REE
badteethcomics wrote: Definitely not a sure fix but one method that might help in screwing over flippers could be printing the original retail price on the headers?? Probably wouldn't make a damn bit of difference. I've seen Medicom Boss Carrions on fleabay where the seller even used this picture... ... while their BIN was easily 3/4 times that price Same story with Sunguts figures on Manda. Retail price is printed on the packaging (and can often clearly be seen in the picture), and M's price is typically 2/3 times higher. Why any toy hustler would want to bring attention to how much higher their aftermarket price is makes absolutely zero sense to me, but considering some of the idiotic stunts pulled by flipshits who've graced this board, it hardly comes as a surprise. Anyway, to get back on topic, congrats to those who were lucky enough to score on Sunday. The smoke/vanilla combo looks absolutely perfect, what an excellent choice of colors for REE. The mono goons were a nice surprise as well..!

Re: Mr. REE
I really like the Mr. Rees... Would love an open release at some point so everyone (= I) can score one!
(or if someone wants to remind me when those nice smokers show up again...)

badteethcomics wrote: I didn't comment previously but I mean "open pre-order" so that everybody wins! Oh no! Then it would be a shit show, much like the king jinx from blobpus. Keep it as is. It is hard, but so is life. Paul does a great job of weeding out flippers and keeping collectors in mind. I would hate something like the king jinx fiasco happen to mr ree.

Re: Mr. REE
Sorry to cause a brief derail but what was the story with the Blobpus King Jinx? I remember the release but didn't know there was something funny going on?

^ a Large # bought only to sell, aka: flipadelphia.
Ruins it for pre-order items. It's a sad state.

Re: Mr. REE
How does it ruin it though? The producers get the money for the items they produced. Flippers get stuck with what they have. Regular buyers get a chance to have a toy they love. The only downside I see is that those regular buyers might not be able to recoup their money if they change their mind but... that's sort of a fact of life for almost everything in this world? S7 did that a number of times and I don't know that it caused problems. So do a good number of artists with timed release prints. I dunno. Am I missing something?

Re: Mr. REE
I would think with Mr. REE in particular, that it would be a logistics / time issue as well. Counting the standard figure, boots, gloves, masks and extra bodies, you're looking at 14 parts per figure. And some of them are tiny parts. Say PK gets 100 orders (which would probably a low estimate), that would be 1,400 parts that need to be trimmed. Then you add in assembling, painting, packaging, packing & labeling and shipping...

I hate that, but it's definitely understandable.

I know what you're saying, but not being able to meet demand seems like a nice problem to have, no? Finding a way to be able to deliver while keeping quality high might indeed be an issue, but is it really impossible to find quality helpers for all the aspects you mentioned? Increased number of orders = increased revenue = capacity to hire staff. Unless producers want to keep what they're doing as a hobby and not a business, I'm thinking logistics is something that needs to be tackled at some point. Keeping numbers artificially low only caters to flipper culture. Again, just my impressions, would love to be corrected. Paulkaiju wrote: petitetoilonrouge wrote: Regular buyers get a chance to have a toy they love. Or so I thought. Pre orders? Never again. Is there a story here?
