 Re: KAWS ?
My mono 5YL came from TT for 140 + ship - and at the time it was the most expensive vinyl toy I'd ever bought. I didn't buy the other two at the time, cos three seemed insane at that price... Remember when the 1000% bearbricks sat on Kawsone for pre-order for months - they were 140 as well - gooooood times!!!!

 Re: KAWS ?
I looked at the pink Chum at TT prob. over 100 times over the course of a year when it first dropped...looked it over at 360 Toy Group's "store" as well...and passed every time because it seemed weird to spend $98 on a "blow toy."
One time I was ready to buy it when Lev pointed out that the zip bag was "broken" and I decided against buying it again...probably the only time he ever prevented a toy from selling. especially a Kaws toy...
needless to say I'm kicking myself all the time about it...but $98 seemed like a ton of money for a toy then just like it did when I saw the original Companion setup at the New Museum in '99...I actually laughed at the sales guy in the shop there...then bought one a few years later for $350 plus.
missed the boat. sometimes I sink with it...but I missed the boat a few times...but I'm really thankful for the Kaws market now being one reason my collection continues to grow. here's hoping I can hold some of my stuff until it breaks 5 figures. keep singing Kanye, you trendsetting fool!

I sold my OG Dissected for a grand. Couldn't pass it up. Then immediately gave it to my landlord for rent on the gallery

 Re: KAWS ?
I really miss 360...it's really a shame that Jakuan closed up shop while KR continues to thrive...the world is a hard place to understand...
to anyone here who used to hang out at 360...you know why I miss it so much...one of the most original toy stores ever, and almost everyone who sells high end toys has aped some part of 360's style whether they know it or not...

Way before the vynil scene exisisted. Maybe that was the problem, way before his time.

Perhaps the best box of kaiju I ever got was thanks to pirovino - RP was headed to Tokyo and planning some kaiju shopping, so I sent him $250 with no requests or instructions. Soon a seriously fascinating box arrived, containing a little bit of everything.

 Re: KAWS ?
The problems with those pink customs is that they only use two shades of pink. If you look at the grey and brown companions there are three and four shades used respectively. It appears that motorbot tried to fix one of the mistakes made with the first one where the torso was darker than the shorts, but there's still only two shades of pink. The skull should be the lightest shade, followed by the bones/torso/legs, then the shorts/shoes are the darkest.
