Great Battle Beast collection! Wish I had more than 1 or 2 of mine left. I see quite a few that I loved as a kid in your display there.

Evan Dorkin just posted photos of the packaging for a TMNT bootleg called "Satyr Masters from Abyss." http://evandorkin.livejournal.com/237916.html

I picked them up at TJ Maxx which are all over Chicagoland, $5.99 each (not bad, it's like half price of what they were).

I remember waking up one day as a kid SO EXCITED because I knew I was going to get that Cylon ship that afternoon. Nice scores, wish I still had mine.

 Re: Non- Vinyl American toys
crap... that cylon ship was kid-grail back in the day. is your's missile-firing? right when this ship came out, they started either making the missiles really giant or disabling them altogether.

I thought they disabled them altogether on all of them, Kirkland. I'm definitely no expert, though. What a shit-show that fucking toy caused, though, huh?

 Re: Non- Vinyl American toys
the original leech didn't squirt water. that was either dragon blaster skeletor or kobra-khan. leech's gimmick was the suction cup face! but i'm not seeing that ability in the classics version.... playability replaced by high-detailing....

 Re: Non- Vinyl American toys
Really? My memory says the original Leach (other than having suction cup hands and mouth) also squirted water.

shit! your right! i just busted mine out, and its obvious i never paid him much attention in my youth (and still isn't one of my favs). but yeah, the bastard does squirt water! i guess you still can learn new things about something you think your pretty schooled on. i guess i always just assumed the button on his spine was to enhance suckability...
