I remember years back seeing my first , the invader Blobpus (Next to a glow pink spray Real X Head Evil!) and being wowed. it took me quite some time to finally get that fig.

Here's an early pic of sculpting process if anyone hasn't seen it.. i really got a kick out of it when i found it.

Here's an early sculpt of the fish. I went through about 4. One shattered, 1 got burned.
I still have this one.

That fish is more 'mean' looking than the one that ended up in production. Boss toes a very strange line between cute and horrifying, and I think that fish head might have tipped it more 'scary'.

That said, some alternate fish heads could be fun... maybe a shark or a lizard or something!

You definitely chose the final one well though!

The fish used to look more like a barracuda.

Yeah, I didn't like the shape, so I didn't go any further. Back to the drawing board.
One was more Coelacanth too.


Another thing was the scales. What a trick, but i learned how.
