I'm not a KAWS hater. His Dissections that were taken from Damien Hirst were great. This is too Western pop culture for me. I wouldn't be into a Simpsons one either.

isnt kaws all about western pop art???
for my credibility to say so - not working at dennies, not black or gay.

What does this mean? Dennies black or gay?

Yes, his figures play off of western pop culture: michelin man, bunny, mouse.
But those seem less specific, leave something to the imagination.

That's great. Frank said it would be a million dollars!

Okay that is pretty fucking lame. It would be cool if he had a picture of himself on ebay. That way I'd be sure to steal his :!:

I'll probably get shelled for this but I don't see it as being lame on the flipper's part. He's offering one up before they even go on sale so he assigns a high price.

If someone were to pull they trigger and actually buy it at this price, the buyer would be lame. Versus trying to get one at retail or through a hookup.

No, I actually agree with you... Just cuz it's listed at that price, doesn't mean it will sell. But then again... it just might. :D

Sadly I second this. If they are that much no way ill see one for the 7 months. :( I wish Kaws would have made these more available. Rumor has it they are limited to 500 and an OF exclusive. :(

You think? Most commentary I've read are kinda negative on this piece... Seems like most people think it looks like a "Darth Sheep".

This is insane because these aren't even out yet and people are setting 1,000 dollar BIN. Regular 5YL companions don't even go for that much. This sucks, I think a lot of us need to take it to heart we aren't getting this toy. I'm starting to realize this.

And I really agree about the die hard SW collectors. They will be going crazy over this as well. Not because its Kaws but because its Darth Vader.

This sucks............

I pretty much blew my wad on the 4ft Companion...if one of these Vader pieces where to fall in my lap at reg price like that did, I'd probably get it...but I wont be hunting. The Hasheem is actually way cooler. I could see paying alittle of a premium for that.

The only possible Kaws item I could see really having to kill for in the next year or two would be a 4ft Dissected.

Or maybe the tiny chance a new character emerges...but I dont think that is likely.

For that much, you think they'd throw in the shipping!

Is this person/company really considered a flipper though? They seem to have hook-ups with Kaws, Medicom, or both. I could imagine Colette charging something equally high...and the piece would still sell out right away.

Not sure if it's been mentioned somewhere, but what is retail on this?
