Mine came today and I like it. It's nicer in person than the photos show.

Re: Coral Sea News
I must concur with mister Melek. This toy is smoking. But before I post my pics, I just have to make a statement regarding this thread. First off, this is only my second Kozik custom (first being his Coral Sea Galtan). I've never actually met the guy and I don't owe him jack. Since I still consider myself a newbie on this board, I've kept out of some of the deeper discussions going on here, but the Kozik bashing that's occurred in this thread is kinda ridiculous. All right, the dude's behind schedule. For paying customers, that's a legitimate gripe. Same thing with the lack of updates in the other thread (until now). That's objective. But now, some people are just out and out hating. That is some weak, opportunistic shit. But, hey, it's the fucking internet. Do whatcha like. What goes around comes around in this hobby. These ARE real people. Real people have memories. Anyway, one particular comment is so damn silly that I just feel the need to respond: the issue of the matte paint Frank uses. Well, if matte's not your thing, that's fine. But just for the record, I have a total of three of Koji Harmon's customs from his "Glow Gala"...and guess what: they're all finished just as flatly as Frank's stuff. How many people are ready to start hating on Koji now? Well...whatever. Here are my pics. Hope some folks enjoy them... Crappy camera. No photoshopping whatsoever. It's the real deal, folks. This is my first ever Real x Head figure. Hell, I'm a traditional kaiju guy...this whole fight figure thing's fucking new to me! All I can say is that I'm quite pleased. The proportions of this guy (and the couple other fight figures I've picked up so far) really remind me of the Madballs head-popping figures from the 80's. Good shit. I preordered the whole Coral Sea set of these guys from Frank and I don't regret the decision in the slightest. They look great under normal light...which isn't always the case for glowies--too often, glowies have really boring paint schemes that are little more than afterthoughts to give the figures some sort of contrast under normal light. Not the case here. This figure looks great under normal light and while glowing. It's a winner. Oh, and can you spot any paint scratches?? I didn't think so...

Re: Coral Sea News
Damn Sanjeev, those GID pics are killer. And regarding the matte colors, I believe it's because of the fluorescent colors that are used.

I believe that's right, though presumably the whole thing could have been given a gloss topcoat. A well-known woodworker was once quoted as saying "Shiny Shit Sells," but I think the matte/gloss combo on this one simply looks ... right somehow. Lotsa nice pics here - Sanjeev, in that glowie pic of yours the bag almost looks like a vapor swirling around him! (Though, having finally seen Hellboy II last night, it may be that I just have vaporous ectoplasm on the brain).

Re: Coral Sea News
Arrived a couple of days ago, and I have to say I love this thing! The matte paint is out of the ordinary, but seems to work really well with the GID. Overall, worth the wait. Thanks Frank - looking forward to the Chaos!

Well...whatever.... First, Sanjeev....RESPECT from the collectiondx board....and a fellow New Englander. I know you are a true thespian and lover of japanese toys. Your eBay Godaikin buying escapades are minted in toymaniac lore forever. But please please please please PLEASE refrain from any artistic comparisons of HP kaiju work between Kozik and Koji. Two fantastically different sets of skills....and results.

This year will be off the hook! logang1 wrote: Your eBay Godaikin buying escapades are minted in toymaniac lore forever. For those who don't know and would like a decent laugh if you're having a rough day, check this out. logang1 wrote: But please please please please PLEASE refrain from any artistic comparisons of HP kaiju work between Kozik and Koji. Two fantastically different sets of skills....and results. I feel you, man. I was heated...my fault. My point wasn't actually to get people comparing/contrasting Koji and Frank's work. They're both esteemed artists...and certainly successful enough to give a lot of people on this board what they want. I just felt that the negative attitudes coalescing in this thread were a little opportunistic. I heard the skateboard decks were a shit-show. Aiight...that's real. But these RxH figures haven't turned into a fiasco yet...so why bring up old shit? If you've got beef with Frank over some crap he pulled before, that's fine...but that ain't got nothing to do with these RxH figures, so keep that beef offline or, at least, out of this thread. Or not. Or folks can just keep publicly hating. I'd just rather not see Skullbrain de-evolve into some weird popularity contest. The board should be about toys, not politics.

LOL at that poor state of the Gardian!
Man, that could be traumatic for most collectors and ebayers as well.
