 Re: Gorilla Biscuits
Did you know Tim Kerr from the Big Boys is one of my best friends? The skeleton was done by the late Mr. Turner (aka Biscuit). Quality all the way around on that band Kudos to you for good taste.
Oh yeah, GB is both -rad as a design, and rad for nostalgia.

Oh yeah, GB is both -rad as a design, and rad for nostalgia. Wow thats sweet! The Big Boys was one of my favorite bands as a wee teenpunk, I saw em at the first Thrasher Skaterock Record Release... Still one of the best bands I've had the pleasure to see. Since you've got the inside track do you think you can get the estate of Mr. Turner to greenlight a Big Boys skeleton?

Oh yeah, GB is both -rad as a design, and rad for nostalgia. Tim Kerr was a big part of what inspired me to collect Japanese toys. My punk band ( Half Life ) stayed at his house in 1987. My best friend and I were just overwhelmed with his collection. We had some Godaiken robots and a handful of Ultraman toys...he's a cool dude, say hello for me!

 Re: Gorilla Biscuits
too glossy. looks like a porcelin figure. I was expecting a nice soft vinyl look to it. I'm sure that is what most of us were hoping for.

 Re: Gorilla Biscuits
I like the subtle shading on the Grey. It's definitely painted with more detail than it could have been.

 Re: Gorilla Biscuits
Not for me, but I agree with everyone about the paint and the gloss. Maybe the lighting is emphasizing the gloss. Does make it look like a porcelain statue.

 Re: Gorilla Biscuits
Maybe this is just the first hand painted sample. I imagine since we all pretty much feel the same way about how the painted figure looks, then the finished product might have the softer paint feel.
At least, that's what I am hoping for.
Brian, shed some light.

Brian, shed some light. This is the hand painted sample (by Kiokya). The final will look very much like this version.

I think it's the pupils that are throwing me off... seems like it would be better with no pupils in the eyes.

 Re: Gorilla Biscuits
im not positive, as we dont have these in the shop quite yet, but i think its just a brightly lit photo, rather than extra-glossy. this figure is produced like all the rest of our figures, so i assume the porcelain look is just the lighting.
more photos as soon as they arrive....

 Re: Gorilla Biscuits
I sort of thought it was going to be black/white and maybe grey...more like the album cover.

I like it also. It is always to have raw unpainted versions too.
