Re: MECHA GREASEBAT
The Mecha Greasebat is incredible! I love how he still maintains greasebats "goofy" charm even though he is a mechanized robot. I really like all of the components to him and the story is great! I would love to see a greasebat vs mecha greasebat movie/animae in the future!
Also, what does the writing on his belly say? (I'm guessing "Mecha Greasebat" at this point.)

Looking good. Its going to be a great fight between these two guys.
Loved the scratches on it, battle damage is always great!

I just realized how fun it is going to be matching the different colored fists! Red fists on black sculpt for me. Or black on proto.
Another thing that is somewhat off-topic is that I thought about how we have no real idea how all these new original toys sound. We know the sounds and voices of the ones that are based on TV and movie characters but how does Greasebat or MechaGB sound?

Interesting query! I envision it with a lot of leaking oil, intermittent steam pressure releases , coolant discharges.... just like a big, dirty piece of construction equipment or like a tank or something.
Think a large diesel turbine engine with intermittent rattles and metallic groans. When I was in the Army the M1 Abrams tanks had turbine engines, they were virtually silent until they were about 100 feet from you, totally not what you'd expect. Things like the electric turret spinning were eerily silent.. I drove a Bradley Infantry Fighting Vehicle ( looks like a tank) for a year, it was similarly silent, except for the big 600 HP Detroit Diesel engine, that sounded like an idling semi truck.
(me at the driver's hatch)
But MGB gets his power from a nuclear heart, so I guess he'd be pretty silent engine wise.

So an encounter would be like in Jurassic Park. Ripples in the glass of water and then you turn around and there he is! It makes sense that it would sound mechanical but I saw the, what I guess is an, air vent on the side of the MGBs mouth and started to think that it was a speaker.
And I was thinking along these lines:

Does that qualify you to operate Mecha Greasebat?
Anyway good job on making a great toy! I'll be trying my best to get my hands on one!

MGB is amazing! I love the interchangeable fists and Monster5 killed the sculpt. I cant wait to see what the first painted will look like!

^^ The header is awesome. Great job Jeff. You nailed it with the 80's vibe. I'm going to grab the painted version at SDCC. Can't wait to play with this guy!

Re: MECHA GREASEBAT
Thanks everybody. Yeah I think driving a 36 ton tracked vehicle may qualify me to pilot Mecha Greasebat!
I have to say, I got mine in the mail Saturday (Thanks Chad!) and the playability aspect is fun. The regular fist comes off and with a little heat I think you could put the interchangeable fists on both hands if you wanted too.
Here's another photo of the clay sculpt prototype, you can see what a great job Monster 5 did, so clean and proportionate.
Paint applications are going to be fun, I cant wait to start using the metallic tinted vinyls.
This Mecha GB really is amazing, full congratulations to Jeff and Chad for his realisation. I really like the matte grey of the clay sculpt too, it works perfectly for this figure. Love the fists of course - anyone who grew up with the changeable accessories will appreciate how cool that is, and in soft vinyl, well heck, bring on the fun!
I had this idea for this type of 'mechanised' figures where you would be able to remove sections and see the circuity and stuff underneath. Kind of like the battle armour toys of yesteryear. I am glad we get to see a bit of it on his hand. I am not saying you need to do, it's just something I have been 'dreaming up' for a while. Execution in vinyl would be incredibly difficult I know. The closest thing I can think of is if anyone saw those soft vinyl Jurassic Park dinos in the 90s where you could remove parts of the 'skin.' It was amazing; but really just works because of the flexibility of the Chinese vinyl, which was very different to the 'sofubi' material. Anyways, ignore my toy fantasies, I am a nut.
Looking forward to seeing what painted releases you guys will have in store.
