So the purple people eater is the first MEATS toy to include an internal magnet to allow easy and safe addition of new accessories!

This is absolutely fucking brilliant. It really makes it more of a toy you can enjoy and play with quite a bit.

This hasn't been a thing?? When I considered making resin stuff I figured magnets were the only option even when considering points of articulation... I feel like there has to be more to it..

Edit: I should definitely state that I think the use of the magnets here is cool and that more "accessory" heavy toys should employ it.

The Shimomoku mini-figures have magnets to mount their masks, so it's not unheard of. Just a quick example.

Magnets have been used for quite a while in a number of Japanese toys. Yuji has used them, P.K. has used them, in fact if we started digging I bet their use in the sofubi world goes back decades earlier than we realize. That would be a fun research project. Or maybe I am just a total geek.

Anybody have some examples of vintage toys using magnets?

More people should use them though, they are indeed a lot of fun.

That would be cool. I'm poorly qualified for that task, but it does sound cool.

Meats is such a sick figure! Congrats to the winners.

Does anyone have any comparison shots between him and another well-known figure? I saw some online against the new Toysabian piece, but no idea on his height either, aside from TALL. Thanks.

Here is a photo I took of Meats and the Black Magic Witch Hunter ready to duke it out!
