Maybe a little too cute for some people around here, but she's releasing her first vinyl toy "Pink Elephant" next month and I can't wait. I really love how they replicated her paint style on this vinyl version.

Here are some pictures:

"prohibition" version:

She's also done a few editions of hand-made wooden sculptures (which I need to track down), and this hand-painted resin figure. A friend of mine has one and its beautiful.

man, i love that giraffe figure! amanda visell rules!! have y9u seen the figure she put togetehr for strangeco's vivisect playsett?i saw an advance one down at gallery 1988 on the desk of the proprietor and it is done so well, i and the friend i was with, thought that it was a little wood sculpture....turns out it was plastic same as everything. it's a little crocodile that when seen from one side, looks ike a happy smiling croc, throwing a coin perhaps, up into the air....when seen from the other side, you see it's actually a baby that is about to drop into the jaws of happy croc, plus a little pile of babies that hes been saving for a special day. i want one BIG!
i love her art, i think i love her....

The one you're talking about is the Artist's Edition colorway....a small amount of these were released at the Baby Tattooville event. More will come out later.

These are the handpainted one's I have (all #23's :D ).....

I saw these production pieces and they are amazing. They look just as good as the originals.

I'm a fan. I tried to score the Dragon but it didn't work out. Her work has a very slight dark edge to it. Almost like a tiny hint of Edward Gorey among all of the colour.

ohmigod jordan! i got to your picture and my breath drew in sharply and i really gasped! those are certainly among some of the most beautiful modern toys, i have ever seen! amanda visell rules the so called modern art scene, if you ask me. she's got more ideas, originality, humour and everything that makes a piece something you'll always come back to, and lovingly pass on to your next generation than all the joe ledbetters, toumas, and kaws combined.

not really saying bad about those other artists, it's just that she has something that they don't, and that is real vision.

i would love to meet her sometime if the chance ever came up. She will be around for a very long time and then some if you ask me

She's great.....she keeps coming out with great ideas and much like JLed, her art translates very well into the 3D toy format. She's done a bunch of one-off wood figures over the last year or two that are spectacular.

Pink elephant is nice and I'd buy it. Her and some of Biskup's work seem heavy influenced by Jim Flora.

The croc is really cool and nicely made for such a small cheap toy. No extras unfortunately, but if you see blind boxes the Visell is relatively easy to find since it's one of the lightest ones. She's also making this Crocodile from Peter Pan for an event at disneyland.

That Disney croc is the fucking shit! To me her artwork is a breath of fresh air. It's nice to see something so different.

There is also a chase croc for the vivi set. If anyone wants to trade/sell that one I'd take it. I locked down the regular version. Thank you! :D

I love this stuff. The pink elephants are two of my favorite toys of last year. Too bad that Disneyland croc is going to be next to impossible to score. I'd really love to have one of the originals like Jordan has in his pic.

How do you even find where these are released? I'd love to get one myself but I have no idea where to look.
