no, sorry...not sweet...there's no reason why this should even be wood...since 99% of the people who buy it are gonna paint over it...
another platform. hurm.

why wood?
why tin?
why anything?
Wood is a beautiful renewable material that is super versatile and fun to work with.
and no one really took it upon themselves to explore it as a medium for designer toys
Mike Burnett is an incredible craftsman and a real innovator with a great style and thecnique there is absolutely ZERO point in making any of his wood toys in any other material.
it might not be for everyone but neither is Kaiju
we are super proud of this and all our upcoming wood toy releases
I am pretty certain that by SDCC the naysayers will have a change of heart

Like Star Trek toys on a Star Wars forum, just the wrong place for this. I also think it's totally boring, but just an opinion.

actually several companies have released wood toys to various levels of success...
Friends With You released a series of "wood designer toys" that all sold out eventually but didn't exactly burn up the toy world.
Kaws did his wood Bearbrick(s).
and Amanda Visell recently has released wood versions of her fake wood (vinyl) toys...
I know there are others but I'm tired now...
so it's not unheard of. I'm not making a judgment of this as a toy...just as a waste of a good material if it's meant to be painted over. I am not a big fan of painted wood furniture either. I love seeing the wood...stained, shellacked, but never painted over...
and if that's what I want to see...this figure just doesn't grab me...but that's one take out of 8 billion people on this marble, right?

I am not saying we invented the wheel here,
there have been wood toys around for ever, and also not trying to stir the hate, just showing some stuff that we are proud of producing
there are quite a few people here with great insight and it is always fun to share
what we are up to.
yeah perhaps this is the wrong forum for this particular project but it was a gag from the start, playing on the other Wood toy we have coming out next week

While I'm not into this at all, wooden toys can be cool if done well. Two of my favorite things from last year were the Glenn Barr Hell's Proprietor and Biskup's Deathbot.

This is cooler:
Might not be a kaiju, but at least it could fight with 'em.

Man, i would love if the Star Wars franchise released some Mego-style figs like the new Star Trek reproductions. I have the Star Trek, I want some Star Wars.....what was this post about again? a hunk of wood?

Actually Amanda's wooden toys have been coming out longer than her vinyl toys.
