Re: Art for the Masses: Yue Min Jun x KAWS The issue, if I recall, was that while KAWS is an art darling that attracts american and japanese millionaires to his shows, merchandise and various 'stuff', Yue Min Jun is an art darling that attracts chinese billionaires to his art. Billionaires who have a standing order to just buy whatever has his name on it.
meaning that, like the piece or don't, you've got a slimmer-than-usual chance at getting these (if they're limited)--not because of KAWS, but because of the other dude.
In other words, KAWS is playing baby brother on this one. Which I sort of like the idea of. If only to remind him where he's coming from.
