 Re: Kaws undercover bear companion
Is this the dissected or the regular companion? It doesn't say dissected, so I'm assuming it's the regular. I have to admit, I really wasn't stoked on this at first, but for some reason it has grown on me. I'm sure they're going to be insanely expensive.

I'm sure they forgot to mention that it's the dissected mono. They sold the regular mono last year (I tried and failed).

Don't be embarrassed. I think the way the companion is slumped in the lap is adorable. There, I said it. Scary Andy wrote: Embarrassed to say I kinda like the bears . . .

 Re: Kaws undercover bear companion
I can't see 4k tied up in it, you can start to pull in some nice originals, watches, investments etc, etc... Especially for vinyl with questionable stability from some pieces... liquidsky wrote: audiodifficulties wrote: Had it in my cart and decided "no." Re: Kaws undercover bear companion
i debated buying the black bear actually. I think it's really cute. $128 was a bit too much for me to spend today though. audiodifficulties wrote: Don't be embarrassed. Re: Kaws undercover bear companion
I gave it a serious go....refreshed, stuck in the cart as soon as they popped up, filled out the form in a few seconds.....still got the "sold out" message at checkout. Fuck.
Got the black bear as a consolation prize.

 Re: Kaws undercover bear companion
I don't have an extra 4k so no dissected for me. After not being sure on the bears I really would have liked to get one but I can't rationalize dropping $128 on one. If they were like $60ish each I would. Crazy they aren't sold out yet. I guess the US market really doesn't "get" them? A lot of KR kiddies were hating on them.

 Re: Kaws undercover bear companion
My new policy is to buy KAWS toys. I always enjoy them much more in retrospect. I skipped the 1000% Be@rbrick and the Warmest Regards bars and I feel like a chump, like the guy who didn't buy a Basquiat litho at the gallery opening.
My most-regretted collecting-related moment was that I was at 360 Toy Group when they released the Chum vinyl toy, and I didn't buy it for the $80 they were asking. Like the cyclops says, hindsight is 20.
