I think the point chad was trying to get across was S7 had approved this sale on Skullbrain. Chad and Lindsey asked for permission to sell a run of toys on Skullbrain and we said go for it.

cant wait to see the silkscreened 12 x 12 boxart from Lindsey, the swamp prints are all fantastic

You know I am not a big fan of this design, but I do think it is cool Kuhn went with resin. Hopefully he keeps this project going for awhile.

I think it is awesome that Lindsey is doing this. He's been making silkscreen prints and 2D art since I can remember. He and Jay Volland (another Denver silkscreener) have been written up all over the place for their work.

Do not underestimate this guy. He was studying under Kozk when some of the haters on this page were still at home watchin' the Smurfs!

I can't figure out why this gets hate when a bunch of other stuff gets praised around here, in both of its threads. The boots kill it for me, I can't get past them, but personally that is just me, otherwise I would pick it up, everyone can boo hoo about skulls and the like but then they throw down for anything that comes out from a named company or some random hype machine machine machine and act like they are old school or something.

I was just watching the Smurfs earlier today and I still think this thing blows.

What I don't get is the connection of this, or Lindsay whoever, to skullbrain. Why is this being made specially for "us"? Seems awfully strange unless I'm completely clueless (likely!) and this Lindsay person is a member who posts by a different name.
And seriously, "studying under Kozik" is suppose to impress?

I don't know of the connection, I know who Lindsay is though, but it was signed off buy the s7 people who own this board for the past few years now so no reason for the people to get restless since its s7's board.

I assume that b/c its a pretty cool sculpt and he has some connection to someone on the board (chad?) we were just getting the chance to pick one up over other people. Can't complain when actual quality is offered up as opposed to all the stuff you see spray painted around the bst or bwana customs that still are getting price cuts or offered in trade.

And the kozik thing made me laugh too.

Yeah, I'm not concerned about it at all - it just seemed a little weird that "we" were targeted seemingly out of the blue, that's all. Seems like it would have been better (for Lindsay) to have gauged interest before just plunging in - seems like a somewhat substantial monetary investment for all that resin!

Lindsey has been collecting Japanese toys since '90, maybe earlier...

He has been in the S7 magazine art section that was in the back.
