Pics ?
I think the vast majority of the JP creator/producer would be happy to do one if asked, anyway.

Is it a safe bet to say he'll make more with that than with the neo-kaiju and resin he's done in... a long time? It will allow him to keep on with projects that may be of more appeal here.

 Re: Le Merde going KR
I like Mike and if this helps his art appeal to a broader spectrum of people more power to him. I won't buy his or any d unny but I hope people who do find out more about Mike and the great work he has done not only with Gargamel but resin and canvas.

Wow! Pretty unexpected, yet (and I'm sure this will get bashed) its one of the best ways to get your artwork greater exposure. Congrats to him!

 Re: Le Merde going KR
What's the big deal... Mishka has done what, two or three designs. Horvath has multiple designs including a complete series all his own... Both of whom participate on these boards. And I know I'll probably catch shit for this, but I don't see a lot of difference between the [expletive deleted] and things like Datarock, Rose Vampires, Miltons and the like

Hardly a platform toy IMO even though they have some flatter area to be used as that. I don't think people would pay very much for a blank dummy either.

Coop has one too 666doll wrote: And I know I'll probably catch shit for this, but I don't see a lot of difference between the [expletive deleted] and things like Datarock, Rose Vampires, Miltons and the like There is a big difference. Datarock, Rose Vampires, Milton were designed by western artist, who have been influenced with western culture. So that is the only connection, as these are sculpted and can hold there own unpainted. While the D unny is pad printed.

I feel they are platform all the way. The way I see it is if you produce more than one colorway or design then it can be categorized as a platform. I don't care if you have some old man hand painting them in Japan or some eight year old kid in China producing them. Again, just my opinion.

 Re: Le Merde going KR
yea but they're only a platform to customizers. Theres no bwana spoons version of a the rose vampire for example. Would you say that a sludge demon is a platform? its been released in tons of deifferent colorways and was designed by a western artist. I look at a dummy as a blank canvas and you wouldnt wanna put a blank canvas on your wall you need an artists design on it.

There's a small difference ("colour patterns" instead of "designs") but overall, the rest is semantics and elitism.
