 Paul Kaiju Virgin
Ok. So. I'll admit it, I own not a single piece by Paul. There. I said it. Sorry Paul! In my defence, I want this to change. Amazing sculpts, amazing colour.
So, yes I'm a Fresh Meat on this forum so feel free to bash away, but imagine you could only own one PK toy.... Which would it be? What is his defining work to date?
And Paul, I'd love to know which of your own work you consider your most triumphant.
I need to find out what PK toy must grace my desk.
Thanks!
Paddy

 Re: Paul Kaiju Virgin
Not trying to bash, so don't take this the wrong way... You should choose and purchase the one (or more) PK toy that YOU like and enjoy the most. Don't worry about what others like. It's not their desks/shelves that this toy will be sitting on, the toy will be sitting on your desk. You will be staring at this toy day in and day out whenever you are at the desk. Now... If YOU had to choose only one PK toy toy to stare at every day, which one would you pick? You are welcome to ask people which PK toy they like the most and why. You can also browse the threads on each toy and read what people like about the toys. Just don't expect us to choose a toy for you, which should be your own decision based on your own opinion on your own personal taste on toys, sculpts, subject matter, aesthetics, color palate, etc. With that said, all of the toys are amazing in their own way for different reasons. Study each toy, look at photos side by side to compare, and let us know which toy(s) YOU like the most.

Ha don't worry, not taken as bashing. naturally I can make up my own mind, I just wanted to know what other people's favourites were. Out of curiosity. Thought it might be an interesting discussion... But perhaps not!

 Re: Paul Kaiju Virgin
Re-read my first message... can see how it might read! But honestly, I was just curious as to what you guys thought was your favourite piece. I don't want a toy chosen for me... that would be weird.
Mine? Probably Mockbat. not sure which colour... I remember seeing a cool black and white hightlighted version somewhere

 Re: Paul Kaiju Virgin
I really like Salamander Joe.
I've tried and failed many, many times to score a PK toy for a reasonable price. If you don't mind getting shanked on fleabay for one that's an option i suppose . . . but I'm just not willing to pay 300% of the retail value (or more).
Its took me a while to realise, if a toy is very popular in America its gonna be a nightmare to find one here in the UK. I've pretty much stopped searching and I'm concentrating on toys I actually have a reasonable chance of scoring! Its just too frustrating otherwise.
Maybe i will win a lottery one day . . . and maybe not.

Yes being in the UK and not being able to get to the events makes it pretty tricky... I survive on photos!

If I could own one Paul Kaiju toy, it would be a Boss Carrion.

 Re: Paul Kaiju Virgin
The resin Mock Bat, Any version although particularly the one below. I much prefer it to the vinyl bat, I love the size and articulated belly and guts.

 Re: Paul Kaiju Virgin
^ I do love the "cuter" proportions of the resin Mockbat but that specific vinyl Mockbat is my top choice for a PK toy I'd want in my collection.

 Re: Paul Kaiju Virgin
Boss Carrion is a really wonderful sculpt I think. King Jinx looks cool.... especially in clear... but for me the head looks a bit weird. Reminds me of a book about Aztecs I head when I was a kid.
