Post MVH x Monster5 Mech DC13
I had this mech concept recently and hired Momster5 to sculpt it. I'm comfortable with wacky organic figure, but for that super refined perfection I needed a more skilled hand than my own.

I've been wanting to work with M5 for some time now after seeing the work he's done for MonsteWorship.

Back story will be revied soon. But for now finished sculpt images will do.

When pulled in vinyl it should stand in around 9.5" tall and 7.5" so wide.

The mech sculpt over all is titled DC13, the humanoid face is titled "thermoBorg or TrinityBorg" and the Jugernaught looking fella is the "Godhead"

More to come, hope you all enjoy this as much as me.

Sculpts in Ricky's hands now, hoping for vinyl in the next 6 months,

Actually just realized there are a few small additions since these shots. Simple detail stuff though, some refining as well. So the finished will be slightly better :D

holy effing shee-it! that is amazing.

I love the first head sculpt the best. Beefy stance..it all rules!

Nice melding of medieval and Japanese influences.

I like it better than any of any of Hirota Saigansho's sculpts. Masterpiece! I am really really impressed, Rich. Blown away!

The Humanoid one looks so Jim Henson to me, I love it! I could totally see this guy as a resident of the Labyrinth!

Just a quick blurb of the back story that's still a work in progress until it's just right.

These two time traveling alien robot astronauts visited Robert Oppenheimer one dreary night and implanted the wisdom of thermo nuclear technology. As he awoke his life and the planet was changed forever...not ever sure if their visit was real or a dream.

I've been fascinated with stories that reinterpret history.

I'm still working the story out. Also all future heads will follow suit with other historic moments and people.

Should be fun.

I'll give some time, but let's see who can guess what were my inspirations for this. Some subtle, some obvious.

The body and canon arm reminds me a little bit of the Iron Giant in defense mode. The legs remind me of Mecha Godzilla.

I see a lot of BRAK in the head of the Thermo-Borg.

These are great Rich!

I love all the details on this fig. Really sharp precise sculpting. M5 knocked it out of the park. That "Godhead" head is so metal too, love it.

Okay

Thermo Borg is indeed a homage to Astro Boy, just one of my all time favorite characters.

The God Head is influenced by Darth Vader, Moloch from Metropolis and medieval dragons.

Chad, you made me chuckle with that mush mouth comment, fucking jerk
