Nintendo Deluxe 20" Link Big Figure (Legend of Zelda)
20" Deluxe Link Figure by Jakks Pacific / Nintendo. http://www.jakks.com/world-of-nintendo- ... igure.htmlI've been thinking of buying this toy but i haven't actually seen it in person. Has anyone seen this toy up close and personal? What did you think? The reviews online are mainly positive, i was just wondering if any 'Brainers have had one in-hand.

I'd buy a 20" Link figure in a heartbeat if it were Link from Wind Waker.

Re: Nintendo Deluxe 20" Link Big Figure (Legend of Zelda)
Yep, but i have no idea if they are going to release a Wind Waker version or not . . . this could be the only chance to grab a 'huge' Link figure.
I have to admit, i've played tons of the LOZ games and Wind Waker is the only one i bothered to complete twice. Maybe Majora's Mask too, but i cant really remember . . . . seems so long ago!
Edit: Thats not true, i've also competed 'Link to the Past' multiple times, on the SNES and Game Boy because its frigging awesome!

It's big and rad. The same company also did a 20" Mario

Re: Nintendo Deluxe 20" Link Big Figure (Legend of Zelda)
As for the large one, I'm on the fence after seeing it up close in Forbidden Planet.
Its fine but there is too much articulation with cheap looking hinges on the shoulders etc. The weapons are a bit lightweight. I suppose for the price its OK but i think i've been spoilt with the manufacturing quality of other toys (especially Sofubi). It just feels a bit light and fragile for such a large figure . . . .
I would imagine for a 20" toy they have to cut corners a bit to keep the price in an affordable bracket. I dunno. I think i might skip it.

It could have just been that one that was possibly defective? Iv seen one at Toys R Us and it looks fine. No problems with hinges and stuff. Just try to get it from a regular store if possible that does returns. So you can take it back without issues.

Hmm, I can't help but feel that the price is a reflection of the quality. $35 sounds cheap for a 20 inch tall, 7-points-of-articulation figure. Then again, I may just be used to the ridiculously fluid and detailed Japanese figmas and their usual ~$100 price tag. The design looks really good, though. Face looks spot-on. A lot of companies can't seem to get anyone's face right... I remember seeing the weirdest-looking Woody from Toy Story at Toys R Us a few years back. Uncanny valley level shit.

Yeah, except in the UK the cheapest i've seen it is £35 not $35. I admit that is still very reasonable for a 20" figure . . . .
They wanted £50 in Forbidden Planet which is quite a large mark-up, cheeky bastards.
