I finally got my issue, and yes, I think it is indeed perhaps the best ever. I have been around since the beginning, buying the mag from my comic shop for the first few issues, then subscribing early on, like issue 4, I think.
It is quite interesting to see the growth and "evolution" of the mag. I believe it now serves a good audience for toys, art, and culture items that cross-pollinate.
Love the Pushead interview and survey, the Blobpus visual guide was excellent (as I now know what colour is what name! Toxic green is what I want!), the Jet Jaguar article was extremely welcome (big JJ fan -- now do Megalon!!), and Brian confirmed what I thought was only a fevered imagining -- that Hedorah is going to conquer us all thru sheer numbers. ^_^
And how cool is it to hear not only from Take-shit, but Commander Hiddy himself?
This mag just keeps getting better all the time.
Hopefully the balance will be maintained between classic and new vinyl coverage and guides, and the culture news will continue to bring to light new cool things and music. I have this mag to thank for introducing me to Cocobat and Balzac, bands of which I am now very much a fan.
Keep up the excellence, comrades!
You are of the rawk.
