I think the smell is the ink used to print the bandana's design...or the bandana material itself...

The printing on the bandana uses a bleach process, which makes it stink. Flynn said a washing will get rid of the smell and remove the "filmy" feel on it.

Discharge ink baby! once its washed it'll be like there's no ink on it at all. We use this stuff a grip in our shop for t-shirts jus never mixed a batch that smelled so much like feeeesh. But i figured it's what it was because the smell went away after few days
