 Dear Dungeon Master
Hey Isaac, maybe you should have a special 'dispute' area where people can punch it out digitally.

Oh, silly Devilboy! It's only the most addicting thing since vinyl toys!!!
It appears that Shibby is a Night Elf Druid in the World of Warcraft...
and moriachi, I know the feeling...any potential free time=WoW time...if only the wife was a gaming geek, I would be in nerd heaven...
representing the Sen'Jin server stateside...
Frank should take it up to wage his (un)holy war against whomever he is waging it against! I kinda figured fight club had died down since the unceremonious run-off of the Nuge's buddy, but perhaps I am mistaken!

I have never played WOW.
I am however, addicted to Call of Duty United Offensive online. I usually play either the (MOB) Barbarossa base assault server or the (TYA) Extreme Gamers Arena Deathmatch server. the Deathmatch server is pretty hyper, gameplay is set at a very fast rate and all weapons are extremely 'deadly'. I do pretty good I consistentley score in the top 3 of a 36 person match.
its addictive.
friends tell me Gears Of War is pretty nice I may get that next.

Gears of Wars is just fun, it's got bugs, but plays great, a little short, but the on-line really makes up for it!

Are Call of Duty servers free or do you have to pay some sort of fee?
I was addicted to Quake some years ago, and would hang out on random deathmatch servers dealing with "campers" and other sorts. There were no charges except the initial software purchase. And usually ranked high up on the scoreboards.
Now that I dumped the PeeCee, I've been gaming on a console. Will eventually get a 360 probably and with hi def tv it should probably kickass. But Microsoft will charge me to get access to their networked servers. And that sucks.
Does Call of Duty have "campers"? People who never move around? They just sit and ambush people coming by?
Also heard good things about Gears of War.

they are free but I usually paypal money to the servers I play on to help them out.
on the deathmatches..they are 24 minute games and campers get automatically blown up if they camp for more than say 20 seconds. also, the maps are pretty good as camping usually gets you killed pretty quick theres always a weak spot.
the exception are the maps that are set up for heavy sniper action, on those camping is permitted because the deal there is to hunt and destroy snipers or be a clever sniper.
whats niced about call of duty is that there are maybe 12 different types of matches that all have different tactics and strategies, from ones where the entire team must cooperate to total carnage. Also there are like 60 maps, with new ones being made all the time. It never gets old. its always different.
and, within those 12 x 60 match types, there are different weapons setups, from everything goes to only 'iron site' bolt action combat.
so, you can find a variety of game styles to suit your preferences as a player.

There are usually two teams, one attacking and one defending. Of course, the defending team is supposed to guard an area or object, so it doesn't make sense to call people on the defending team campers. On the other hand, when the attacking team doesn't attack, they are most definitely camping. Most campers are stat/point whores. They don't care about helping their team accomplish its objective. They only care about their stats/points. In Counter-Strike, you can spray grafitti on the walls. The best spray I've seen said... Quote: Let's see who we have here...
Hackers Campers Stat whores Awp whores Abusive admins
It's funny because it's true.
