He said it was a mad house because they never realized how huge it would be. The artists weren't even able to return if they left the building because of the crowd. Supposedly, Javits is expanding the space for the NYCC. It would be amazing if S7 could represent at this show.

They are moving it to the biggest space in the Javits Center this year!
I gotta see if I can find the quotes, but the promoters have made it their goal to eventually get the NYCC to replace SDCC as the gathering of the year.
I went only on opening day last year and missed all the insanity with the crowds and the FDNY and NYPD essentially shutting it down.
But, being the first year it was pretty cool. I'm expecting this year to be better. Last year was totally geared towards comics and only a few toy people were there. According to the booth list, there are more toy people there this year.
