 THE SUPER7 FAN CLUB
Hello
to avoid any questions and random emails, I thought I should put a little info here about this.
Super7 has stopped with magazine subscriber exclusives. the last one was the Invisible Frankenghost. This was offered a little while ago to current subscribers by email. It is sold out. If you like Invisible Frankenghost, we will be soon be releasing a painted version with lots of clear parts. We will post the release info on this early next week.
Since we stopped the subscriber exclusives, we have started a Super7 Fan Club. Because we were not sure of the reaction to a fan club we decided to limit the enrollment number at first. We sent out an offer to join the club to magazine subscribers and all spaces were filled very fast. There was no chance to even post the announcement here.
Because of the interest we will open up membership again later this year. But for the time being there is no time or plan set for this. there is no list so please do not write and ask me to get added to a waiting list.
Here is a link to the website, please check here for updates on membership. I will also post any news here on skullbrain.org
http://www.super7fanclub.com/
thanks for the interest and thanks to everyone that signed up. The first fan club release will be shipped this week and the fan club site will hopefully launch this week to.
Also do not worry that the fan club will get all the "good" releases. many many awesome toys are planned for this year for all to collect!
thanks,
IR

Same here...no e-mail for Invisible Frankghost...no e-mail for Fan Club.
I liked the idea of subscriber exlusives better, by the way.

hey
the email went out on 3/20/2007
the email was sent to you both. my guess is your junk mail is eating the emails or something. this is the only problem with an email list, you must make sure to mark super7 emails as non junk.
sorry.

I get other Super7 e-mails pretty often, but I missed these two. Weird. Bell South's e-mail filter must suck.
I'm pretty disappointed about missing out on the Fan Club. The original reason I joined the magazine was for a shot at the exclusives. I'm sure that Super7 considers the exclusives nothing more than a bonus. I actually considered the magazine a bonus. Now I have no chance of getting the exclusives.

Think that is a little off, I understand being annoyed.... 'fucked' though?
Time to rack up trade bait and hope for the best...
Maybe when they reopen the subscription S7 might want to consider having current members opt to continue and the additional selected by a lottery type draw. Just a thought...

The fan club might re-open later this year, thats the best you can hope for now.Im sure people will not want every fan club release and will want to trade sell some of the stuff.

That's not true. People in the FC may not neccesarily collect every exclusive that is released, so they may offer it for trade or at an RFSO price. There may be some asshole flippers lurking around here, but for the most part the members on this board are helpful with your wants.
Aside from some Handpainted Pushead items, I've seen most of the items on my "wantlist" offered in the B/S/T area at one point or another, so these exclusive items shouldn't be any different.

Sounds like a great system...for everyone who got in at the club's inception. I have a few thoughts as well, but I think will refrain from posting them. I'll just say that this turn of events with Super7 exclusives has left a bad taste in my mouth, and it will be a factor when I decide whether to re-subcribe to the magazine. Thanks for pointing out the obvious. Any figure can show up in the aftermarket. The point is that today I have no chance of obtaining the exclusives directly through Super7. Yesterday, as far as I knew, I did have a shot at many of the exclusives.

Sounds like your anger is pointed at the wrong place. S7 is kind enough to say that they are opening it up to more members later this year to accomadate more people (something that they do not really need to do), yet you are complaining that you weren't in it from the start. Ramos sent out the e-mail and you didn't get it for whatever reason, chances are, it was your fault, certainly not his. Ghostbuster wrote: Thanks for pointing out the obvious. Life is rough, ain't it I was just trying to help you keep things in perspective, but if you want to keep crying that's up to you.

I'd like to publicly thank Brian and Ramos for doing the FC in the first place. Even If im not in on it. All I can add is that this point we all have the patience to wait things out...

The fault, if blame is important, is the anti-spamming software that some providers use. The email never even made it to my 'junk email' filter. Isaac was very helpful and apologetic in the pm's we exchange yesterday about this matter. Yes, I am dissapointed in missing the clear FG and the opportunity to get the FC exclusives, but this is something that neither I or S7 had any control over. Time to move on (and think about what I can trade for a clear FG ).

I feel I have a legitimate point about the move from subscriber exclusives to fan club exclusives. If you want to try to negate that point by characterizing everything I've said as crying, then fine. I've said what I've wanted to, and now I'm done with the subject.
