Ok, ignore why people are taking supposed 'pot shots' (which you yourself are guilty of - see comments to Jackie about photos) but pleased don't act indignant or shocked when people do so.

flickr's are free but you can also get a 'pro' account. I have a free account and am happy with it, but if you're a hardcore picture uploader, you may want to pay the $25 or 30 for the pro account. The real difference is the amount of bandwidth you are allowed for uploading. If you pre-size your pics to something reasonable before you upload, then a basic account should never fail you.
Are there other benefits to pro?

free account = 20 MB upload limit per month
pro account = 2 GB upolad limit per month, unlimited photosets, storage, etc.
well, about the hedorah, yes, is true that are tons of hedorahs out...
and i agree that not all the versions are cool (my top favorites are charactics and M1)...
but i actually thing that WOO is the most popular monster (at least on these boards) all the sudden (just look how many people is asking about them in the past few weeks)

why I like it...
well I just came over to this board because of a sweet looking rumble monster I say in Jankys (spelling sorry) avatar and thread. Then looked around and saw lots of stuff that just looked like dinosaurs or gozilla. Then say the Hedorah and Woo's in geo's pictures. There are some great looking monsters that are amazing looking. I could just collect woos and hedorah.... Joe

Maybe the recent flood of Hedorahs has to do with the fact that this is the loveable pollution pile's 35th birthday!
Also I think that there has been so few Hedorahs that when one or two companies came out with a version, lots of other folks said "I could do that better".
Because Hedorah has such a loose form and he appears in the dark in much of the movie (it's hard to even tell what color he is), he is very open to different interpertations, especially when it comes to paint and vinyl color. No one has a problem with a translucent pink Hedorah with glitter and flourescent spray, because when it comes to Hedorah anything goes, the more outlandish the better. If someone tried the same interpertation with another kaiju, for example, Godzilla, it would not be as well recieved. Everyone has a definate idea about how Godzilla should look, and it's not clear pink with glitter (actually that sounds cool!).
Hedorah is the most whacked-out kaiju ever, from the most psychadelic Godzilla movie of all time, so somehow all of crazy vinyls and blinding colorways seem strangely fitting. Viva Hedorah!

Hedora is ugly, gloopy , toxic, uses factories as bongs, and smells like poop.
We like that in a monster.

Another good attribute is that hedorah has a few different forms in the movie. He starts as a big tadpole, then goes on to swimming, crawling, flying and fighting forms.
Also, the movie is one of the greatest from Toho. Weird animations, great fights and a demonstration of Godzilla's flying ability. The body-painted dancer and the hallucinatory fish-headed partiers have also been done as toys.
Not only that - hedorah loves cats. My favorites are the black CCP hedorahs - beautiful quality and paint.

I don't really know if I would classify it as one of Toho's best, but that's just my personal opinion.

I love god Goji too, but there's a dynamic with Hedora.
Hedora appealed to me as a child and appeals to me now. Just a great memory of seeing it when I was 12. The movie had impact on my young brain cause it was slightly off-the-wall with a message.
I think that's important too. If you didn't see it as a child, it doesn't really stick the same.
Anyone agree? Anyone catch the love later in life?

I saw it as a child, many many times. I like him (I like ALL kaiju really), but he never stuck with me as much as some of the others.

As much as I like the earlier Toho- Kaiju.
I definitely liked the early 70's cheesy ones most.
Gigan, Mechagojira, Megalon, Dogora, Squidley diddley, Ricochet Rabbit, Beanie and cecil, ect.
Even as a child I had a pretty good preminition that there would be awesome toys to be had, even though I had never seen any until later.
Seems the Japanese are making toys they wished they'd had when they were kids.

Wow! I had forgotten all about Beanie and Cecil until I just read those words! That brings back a lot of memories!

im much too young to have been alive when godzilla vs. hedorah came out, and didnt see it until i was 23, but i fell hopelessly in love with hedorah immediately.

Godzilla vs. The Smog Monster and Godzilla vs. Megalon were the second and third movies I ever saw in a movie theater at the tender age of 5, but Hedora creeped me out too much. I loved Megalon, though.
