FU to week 2 of no email here at work. For some reason the decision was made to rebuild our email server entirely out of "unobtanium". You can guess how that turned out.

I know these are first world problems and all but I was making extra fax cover sheets this morning, I never sent so many faxes as I did last week with no access to email.

I have a new fuck you today: Japanese middlemen. What is the point of paying for Express Mail Shipping if they wait a week or so to ship it? Might as well pay for SAL. Not being petty it's just the principle. EMS is twice the cost of SAL.

EDIT: So apparently TB has some new policy like Masato where they have certain days they ship. I'm not down with this. EMS is express (like priority here). Why pay extra if they aren't going to ship for 10-15 days? I'm eventually just going to find a new middleman.

I managed to recover the files only to find them broken into about thousand increments of 10 seconds each! No way I'm piecing all of those together. Dumped and starting all over tomorrow. What a ridiculous way to save temp files Audacity!!!! Probably should use Peak instead.

sorry to hear you have had bad experiences, i know some junior colleges are lacking in many areas and it usually comes down to funding. i work at a community college and like to think that my students have my full commitment and can count on me for anything they need. some of us work really hard to make sure that our students get the most out of their time here and are well equipped for employment or a transfer to a four year, so not all community colleges are horrible!
