That is so pathetic!!!! I don't get it at all!! We are supposedly all collectors. And then you go and take the time to take pictures and upload and post them. And some deuche has to throw shit at you.
I love seeing people's collections and pics of anything actually. I really loved all the pics you posted in the past few days Knewnan. And I hope you continue to post pics!!!

I really love seeing people's collections... you can tell how much love and appreciation people have for their toys when they're presented so nicely and it makes me sad to hear that people would be so mean spirited.

I have mixed feelings about some certain collections. Some seem to be about the money, and others about the love (that sounds a bit camp - but you get what i mean) such as Knewnans.

See some people said I was nuts for coming out in the open and starting this thread.

But like I suspected I wasnt the only one feeling this way.

I erased the PM, I didn't want to re-read it. Basically one guy told me I was an idiot who bought over priced toys just to rub it in everyone’s faces. Another guy told me I was just a hype junkie and a follower. Maybe they are right.

The cool thing was how different people responded to different pieces. It was awesome to see people call out so many great artists. The thread reminded me that aesthetic diversity is the joy of collecting western vinyl, and I need reminding of that fact.

Lucky for me I don't really want most western figures anymore. I keep buying stuff I think I will like out of habit, and then I want to sell it a week later because it just doesn't do it for me. The egg [expletive deleted]’s are the most recent examples, I think they are beautiful but I like them less now than I did when I got them. I think I will limit myself to figures of 100 run or less from now on, it will limit my buying and keep me off the KR board.

In any event I am happier with my SB, RxH, RM collection than all the other toys I have. Since people like to hate those toys they don’t have to hate me for owning them.

The "high" of western vinyl wears off quick. I find myself just staring at my small collection of JP gear. To me it just has so much more depth. Don't get me wrong I still buy the occassional western piece, but now I can really have restraint in that area.

Just for the record is forget those idiots..I've noticed that everyone here can actually relax,show their stuff and never hear a sour word because this sites about the toys and their true fans..I feel privileged to post w/you guys and absolutely love seeing everyones stuff no matter what they have.Its a shame when someone posts a dope assed collection(Knewnans for example)and some moron takes time out of their day to be that spiteful and petty to PM that kind of garbage..RFSO Everyone and don't let the "KIDS" or rather children ruin it for you... I LOVE YOU GUYS MAN!!!!

I got a feelin'the KR board is kinda flooded with kids blowin' their pocket money and teens full of angst. $30 a pop [expletive deleted]'s max 'em out and they have a whole lotta hate seeing the good stuff goin' to the serious collectors.

That said I hate Knewnan coz he's got all the cool SB . . . damn the circle of life . . . always somebody higher in the food chain

All I have to say is, I collect toys. I have focused my collection over the last 15 years really hardcore on Japanese vinyl, but, I still have, and will continue to buy the really great toys no matter who makes them. I think everyone, even on this board should make sure not to get to "inner circle" with this, and realize that good toys come from everywhere, lots of crap comes from Japan as well, but tons of good stuff comes out too. If we don't we are destined to become the same as the other board.

There are different aesthetics to quality Japanese vinyls for sure, and that is what we all gravitate to (I think) that give it a very different feel. And while I could argue the superiority of manufacturing, craftmanship or design, it is in the eye of the beholder. (as Bemon or the majority of my records can attest to.)

Also, I celebrate everyone else's collections, i makes me psyched to see the variety, and I applaud people who have managaed to find toys that I am still hunting for -I am jealous for sure, but only in the supposrtive way. If we continue to help each other out, we all get better collections and toys. If we fight it out amongst each other, then we all suffer. As many of you have learned, the sharing of information is vital to the growth of this community as a whole, and although the release of that information may make it harder for you to find that "rare piece", the overall effect will benefit you ten-fold.

On that note, I am jealous of Knewnan's RxH collection, and anyone who is lucky enough to still be on the "my very first SB" high.

what amazes me is the utter lack of respect for others that many exhibit on message boards.
