I don't know why you took it personally. Quote: Maybe it is the fact that I post quite a few pictures, and have the financial ability to acquire a lot of new toys that is really at the heart of all of your complaints and snide remarks. I don't really know, but if that is the case, envy doesn't really suit anybody very well. As I said, I never made any reference to your picture threads above, so this was an odd thing to say. Additionally, I never really noticed that you acquired toys moreso than anyone else on the board, so envy isn't a factor here. Finally, I don't believe I've ever posted a negative comment in any of your picture threads, so I believe I've extended you the courtesy you're seeking. True, you didn't expressly refer to my picture postings. But then why did you make any reference to people posting pictures at all? Can you think of anyone on this board except for me that has ever been criticized by other board members simply for posting pictures? Anybody! If you were not referring to me, who did you have in mind? You chose those words particularly referring to posting pictures, so please explain why.

WTF.................................
Ramos doesn't want fighting so there is alot I can't say, but you need to stop being a hypocrite and move along. None of your points are really even valid, in fact THEY AREN'T POINTS, they're all opinions. The difference here is we all discuss opinions in a normal manner, you start a frickin' campaign about E V E R Y T H I N G!
Why didn't you complain about the issue with the silver Pushead on the cover? which also contained an article on Tequila toys?
You act like everyone puts you down? look at your snide remarks about us "overpaying for quality japanese vinyl", bitchin about someones western vinyl in THEIR OWN THREAD where you should have kept your mouth shut, callin Koziks stuff pieces of crap more or less. And now snidely remarking "MASSIVE SHELF SHOT".
see El Maz's post.....

This is really bs... I posed a valid question and have been attacked or made fun of in every post, with a few exceptions. And then all the assholes who are responsible sit there smirking, "who me? what did I do? I didn't do nuthin'" Lame.
Isaac. I really hope you were serious about what you said when you left. We shall see.

Let's all just let heated heads cool down, and let this rest a while, shall we? We've managed to be so good in Isaac's absense so far...

I suppose the ideal would be only to collect 'real' Japanese kaiju toys made before say 1975 or so, and then somehow manage to publish a very nice full color magazine that would be vidly sought out by the 8 or so people in the world who actually can afford to collect only those real toys.
that would be 'pure'.
Me. I like it all, even stuff like 1980's Transformers and Micronaut toys i could care less about. i appreciate the in depth research and enjoy those articles as well.

in response to your original question Geo, the magazine needs to find new subject matter. It is now covering other things that seem to intersect in some way with J toys and J collector culture.

Well what he said will apply to you, as calling many here "assholes" is quite insulting no?.
Your main problem is you have ZERO tact when replying to someone and in the statements you make hence creating an arguement.

If you hadn't tried to rape and gang bang me in the interim, I would say, thanks for the response, Frank.

Also, you need to realize that the magazine and the store are a 'side project' and not Flynn's main business.
It's his 'hobby' and his to do with as he pleases.
I mean..he could freak out and turn it into a baseball card collector zine.
its his mag.

I realize that it is any owner's option to do anything they want with what they own. That was NOT the point!

The point is the magazine is changing. Things often do. I think as long as it doesnt turn into a sneaker and ipod review 'zine it will remain great,if not improve.

I believe this is appropriate for this thread, taken from inside the magazine's Legal text:
"Super 7 is a magazine about toys; keep it light"

I disagree. Please give me specific examples from this thread of how I was not tactful or reasonable in my responses, or otherwise created an argument, OTHER than when I was personally attacked, directly or indirectly simply for posing a question. I do not deny that I get heated when people try to draw me into an argument or make veiled, but obvious, attacks agains me.

geo,
at this point, 3 pages deep of pejoratives, are you still concerned with the shifting focus pattern of the mag?

Yes. At least I am still interested in if it is happening, and also interested in why, although some of this has already been explained by a few of the more rational people on this board. The explanations that have been given are consistent with my own assumptions with what was happening or what would need to happen for the magazine to continue to be successful. My "concern" in fact is that the magazine and Super7 do in fact keep succeeding.

Why? And what are your fears/concerns/apprehensions for the future direction of the magazine's content?
