Post WISE WORDS! (Brian)
Thanks for the words of wisdom, Brian.

Okay...so I'm a bad-dog. I'm man enough to say...I am sorry. I think things did get outta hand, and I never intended what happened to happen at all. I am sorry if I offended anyone. I didn't come here to make enemies... I had hoped to make some new friends, customers, and find out/learn about whats new and cool since I haven't kept up on things much in the last couple of years.

Brain, I appreciate what you are and have been doing with the Super-7 thing, this forum, and everything you and the Super-7 people have been doing. I'd like to think of you all as friends, as I've been dealing with you all for several years now. I hope this hasn't caused any ill feelings.

I hope I haven't caused any lasting ill feeling with any of you fellow collectors. I'd like to think that I can be of some kind of service to you all, whether through info, photos, descriptions, toy locating, sales, whatever. I hope I can learn some stuff myself, and I'm always looking for something new and different to sit atop my shelves.

Now... if anyone has anything Negative to say towards me or too me I'm really not interested, so please...talk amonst yourselves. I think if most of you people met me in person, you'd probably see that I'm alright. Unfortunately, the only show I seem to enjoy doing anymore is G-FEST. I'm always willing to offer anyone a beer (soda too), and everyones always welcome to come behind the tables to view/fondle the "Good stuff" up close and personal-like. I just like to have a good time.

So.... lets have a good time! Cool? Alright?

Sincerely,

ERIK "Bad-Dog" (Boshzilla) BOSCHERT

======================================================

Okay, everyone take a deep breath. Real easy, everyone needs to chill out.

Erik, you need to cool it out. There is no need to respond to every and every comment everyone has made about you. Even more than not needing to respond, is responding with insults and jokes about getting a life, grandmas and girlfriends. If you expect a positive reply of any kind, you need to do the same. Some people feel they have to always have the last word, and in a BBS setting, it will only end up making things worse and worse.

Locomoco, I understand your frustration, but you have to let it go a bit too. Let it die rather than poking the bear, continuing the fight is just as much a pain as instigating the fight.

Overall, for Erik and everyone else, if you don't actually appear to be here for community (actually dropping some new or vintage knowledge or engaging in talk about toys in some capacity) but just here to sell, you don't really need to be here. We (the old guys) know that you are a part time dealer, but if you are only here to sell, why should we care? If you are here as part of the scene, as Jim asked you to be, then join the scene, post some pics, add some knowledge, and sell as part of the larger whole that is Boshzilla. It is not a free ride, you have your own site to sell your toys. If you want to sell here, at least join in first and be part of the scene (this means make a bunch of posts, not just a few). You know plenty about vintage that most here don't, so start spreading some knowledge. Show off that collection like kaiwi is, and people will be fine with your sales posts, even looking forward to them. Otherwise you look like you are just trying to make a buck off of the board while not contributing.

As far as "make an offer", it really means, whoever offers the most gets the toy, and I will take you for as much as I can. This is used a lot to pit collectors against each other, and maximize the amount you can get for the toy. You know how frustrating that was when the older dealers used to do that on anything rare, so why would you do that to another collector? Fuck that, we don't play that way here. Pick your price, and that is it, high or low. You have prices on your site, so stick to it. We have a loose group of people here who try and offer fair, but cool prices to each other for toys, and in return that good will comes back to them. I would hope that you could play the same way. BTW, I still want your Hawaii red Baltan and I like the flesh Zetton. Just too rich for me, regardless, because I know the price, I am not offended or bummed, I just know I am not going to buy them. It makes it easy for all of us that way.

The forum is not an inalieable right, it is not a free ride. It is a privately maintained board, and we expect that if you want to hang out with us, you act like you like us, and be cool to the kids new and old, as there is a time when we were all new to the game, and the responsibility of the old is to teach the young. I hope you can understand that.

-brian

Awesome, Erik. You've got some really great stuff...that I'd never buy. Vintage just isn't my cup of tea (I think it's because they make me feel old....lol).

Thanks, my man. I guess we all have our own cup of tea. I like it all, but unfortunately the $$$ will only allow me to focus in so many areas. If only I had know back then what I know now. I just love the history behind the old stuff, and I love everything...vinyls, toys, games..especially the old japanese artwork. Wish I could find some of the original paintings. Would love to design some new ones though (toys). How do you collectors feel about Wood? I work well with it. Guess we'll see what the future brings!

So...what are you mainly in to? Would love to take a peek!

I'm pretty new to this stuff. I'm trying to build up a collection of Secret Base and RealxHead figures. I'm a child of the 70's and grew up on Super Robots and Go Rangers, Godzilla never really made it over (I grew up in the Philippines). Mazinger Z (my favorite), Voltes V, Jeeg, Daimos, Grandizer, Getter Robo, along with other anime like Star Zinger and of course, Gatchaman and later on, Robotech, are what I grew up on. I would love to find all my favorite toys again, but I know with the money spent, I might as well put a deposit on a house. Instead, I've bought newer versions like Bandai's Chogokin Mazinger Z and Kaiyodo's Revoltech Getter Robo, but not really caring much for the updated versions like MazinKaiser and Shin Getter (they're cool but they're not as awesome as the originals, at least I don't think so). My biggest collection, Choro Q. I've long since stopped collecting them since I could not keep up with what was being released and although I may not have the rarest of cars in my collection, I am still happy with it and will always stay displayed on my shelves and there was no where in the US that I could easily find them, or at least the one's I was looking for.
One thing I am interested in...your Mopar project. Let's see that beast.
