You don't want to be reading this if you're on the crapper.....cause you'll never leave. From the few articles I've read, it's really good. Josh's illustrations were a great surprise. I didn't think it was his because all the other pieces I've seen are very different from the one's in the book. The cover itself is pretty cool...now if only it came with that new vinyl toy smell that we all love...

Would have been nice thing to have the subscribers who have been patiently waiting for over a year get theirs first...
Just sayin'......

I paid for a subscription, then called up the store and asked if I could pick it up instead of them shipping it

we just got the mook into the store physically last night. of course, store staff were the first folks to get their hands on them. we are shipping subscriber copies right away, but if you happen to live in s.f. and come by the store, you will get a copy sooner than if it gets mailed.
i know subscribers and everyone else have been waiting patiently for a long time, but it would be silly to not let the local people have it since its sitting right here until after all the subscribers world wide had theirs.
we are working as hard as we can to get this to everyone as soon as possible, unfortunately, the shipping is going to take a few days. please hang in there, its so so close!
thanks!!!

I thought that to get this you bought the subscription.
Thats what I did but I was probably just confused as usual.

Confusion on your part
The mook basically takes over the magazine so you can subscribe or you can just buy the issues you want. I'm sure there's going to be enough copies for all to have...judging for the pile of boxes in the S7 blog pic.

Makes sense to do it that way. I prefer the sub anyway since when I bought it I had no idea how many were in stock and didn't want to risk having to wait for a 2d printing if it sold out fast.

Yeah it would be nice but whats a few more days. Its really no biggie, soon the wait will be over and we will do this again for the next mook. Also the rumor is that the subber version looks a little different so I think it will make up for the few days wait.

Its a subtle difference, but subbers get an all black cover, same design....and non-subbers get a gold printed cover.

My only wish would've been to have a volume number on the spine or on the slip cover spine, but damn this thing is nice...

There isn't? Oh, well I don't want mine anymore...
Nah, it seems ilke there should be volume info on the spine. I've been picturing my future bookcase having all the volumes in chronilogical order, and being able to easily tell the volumes apart by looking at the spines. I wouldn't mind seeing each volume bound in a different color or something like that. I really can't wait until I have about 10 of these things on a shelf! But I guess I'll be happy with just one for now!

I picked mine up at the show last night. I promise to everyone its worth the wait. I love the way they designed it too. Its like a piece of art in itself. The picture layouts are top notch! The great detail in the SB check list is awesome. Although for a lot of us there will be some heart break in that. I've already felt it. Haha
Worth the wait and hats off to Super7!
