Possibility of a Tokyo/Japan forum?
It seems like there are more than a few members living in and around Tokyo, and there's always a few questions in Whatever about travel recommendations for people coming in from out of town. I know I'm still a n00b, but is there any chance of getting a Tokyo forum going down by the LASKs and BASKs and what-have-you?

Matt Alt, author of Yokai Attack, Super7 mook contributor and all around Toy GOd is part of the Kappa Ten - an art show dedicated to everyone's favorite Japanese Pond Monster - the Kappa. More details on Matt's blog

Along with being a place to post about Japanese culture things.

Sounds good to me. I think a lot of Japan-related posts could be put in this section that would normally end up in 'Whatever.'

I'm gonna pitch the idea of heading out there on Saturday for the reception to my wife... I think we'll be able to make it! Can't beat a Yokai-themed art show!!!

Re: Possibility of a Tokyo/Japan forum?
yes...I saw that. I might try to see if the Kinokuniya out here has it yet. I'd pay the extra to have it in my hands right away

Re: Possibility of a Tokyo/Japan forum?
Thanks for the tip on the Kappa show, DD. Some very cool stuff on display there, and Matt's book is AWESOME. The only thing that rules more than his piece on Dorotabou is the Kyushu punk band by the same name. I wonder if they ever invited Sakabashira Imiri to the previous Kappa 10's... his Neko Kappa is pretty cool.
It was awesome getting to meet you guys, too! Has anyone ever organized an SB Tokyo night out?

But I'm going to make up for that by hitting up Shibuya Mandarake on Saturday (Galtan Day!!!), CKA Monday afternoon (Menargo Day!!!) and YJA to fill in the gaps!
