That's Matanga, from the (Toho?) movie "Attack of the Mushroom People". A bunch of Japanese yuppies sail to a tropical island and get turned into these things after eating the local mushrooms. Very psychedelic. And yes, he does look like an atomic mushroom doesn't he? That's what I thought it was meant to be for a long time. He was one of my first kaiju, and still a favorite. There're lots of different versions by M1go, Marmit et al. This is an M1go one. The pink and glow versions are the best though. Check out the "M1GO trikes" thread (this forum) for a great new version!

Oops... that SHOULD read MatangO, not MatangA. And I just found out that THAT (unpainted yellow) version was from a, quote, "Summer 2000 Lucky Bag".

the movie is great too. it's fairly easy to find because it's been released here. do yourself a favor and track a copy down.

Ramos, are you talking about the M1 figure released several years ago or the new Marmit figure released in the last few months?

The M1 transforming man and M1 transforming woman (pictured in Paul's photo) were DVD exclusives (I think).

I know someone who has a Marmit transforming man for sale, if that is the figure you want...
