I don't understand why everyone writes "PM sent" on a thread like this. When did this posting style start happening? I have seen it for a while but I just don't understand why it happens.
isn't there better ways to raise your post count?

Just a guess here, but people are accustomed to indicating "PM sent" re: x item so that others will see that they have dibs on something in a sale or trade lot. It doesn't make as much sense in a case like this since there's more than one of each item for sale, but maybe it's just out of habit from individual sales?

Even if I'm buying something off a board member, I rarely, if ever, do the PM sent thing.
I imagine its a way for people to show that they're participating in something.
Not condoning it, just saying...
Somewhat similar to when something is released at the webstore, and people post order numbers or announce that they bought something.
edit: and post counts are meaningless. They don't get you anything.

just habit and because you might get swamped with pm's and may want to go back to the thread to see who expressed interest...
it's really not about post count or i wouldn't be at a happy 155 (make it 156 once this posts)

lol I think you guys are over analyzing the PM sent thing to much.
For me its just a meaningless habit. I have no clue why I do it. Much like a lot of other stupid posts.
For the most part 90 % of of all our posts are babel so whats 1 more post.

I wish, I would've. Not that I dis-like the rest of the set, just can't get them all at one time. Gotta stretch it all out.

Isn't it sort of a polite way to bump the thread?

I've been trading my posts for toys. For every one hundred posts, I get 10% off at the webstore of my choice.

It might be interesting to note that the Dragamel neck and head consist of 3 separate pieces, that can be taken out or added. You can make a short neck, an extra long one, and also pose the neck/head in all sorts of positions. Plus it's the biggest Gargamel figure out so far. It's huge.

Downer! . . . I passed coz the neck looked kinda odd too! . . . .
Just curious . . . is the minimum 1 'ball' joint or can the head be attached directly to the body?

good news, the neck was bothering me too but that seems to be how Tim wants it. I might need to try out a neckless version.
