what are some kaiju toys you hate? and why?

are there any that you just think are terrible... and it is annoying to you when people freak out over how sweet they are just because they are the new thing they are supposed to like?

I've always been a little bothered by the hands on RxH toys. There's a lot to like about those guys but for some reason the hands just dont work for me.

I just don't understand the appeal of Mantango?

the bwana colors of certain toys look so lame to me. the guy paints freakin rainbow polka dots on a clear sculpt and everyone squeals with glee

I don't HATE any toy, sculpt, company, color in here. I don't GET Rumble Monsters totally. Just don't feel them. They have some nice paint jobs, but I'm not digging the sculpts. ALOS Cronic, minus Dorogami, don't get those things. Again, no HATE, just don't connect.

I dig Bwana because I like his style of illustration and the crazy colors remind me of the outdoors chillin in the woods!

Don't understand the following:

Rumble Monsters Dragon Engine
Alot of the baby stuff (blobs, rumbles etc)
The large Docrosses
Pinwheels
The full size Drag

If I had unlimited space and an unlimited wallet, I'd probably pick up a couple just to check them out. But I don't have either so I have to be selective unfortunately.

Bwana's stuff is cool. I like the detail on Steven the Bat, and the colours on most of the Gargamel sculpts. Seem to be trippy in a Northwestern Portland way or so I imagine.

Good point liquidsky, the baby stuff doesn't totally get me going either in any way at all.

I can't think of a single piece of kaiju or any character or company or colorway that elicits hate or even particularly strong dislike. Disinterest in many cases, but nobody can love everything. Part of the appeal for me is getting past an initial "I don't get it" or "hm, that's ugly" reaction. I love it when a positive breakthrough in attitude or perception occurs. E.G. I know someone who had a very strong distaste for Blobpus toys at first. However, he just bought a Docross. I think that's so cool.

Now, if you'd asked what "urban vinyl" or "western art toy" or trends in that genre we "hate," you'd get some mighty passionate responses.

Oddly enough I really love Bwana's production pieces for Gargamel. However, on the flip side, I really don't care for his one-off customs whatsoever.

I think TTToys Invading Monsters line is really lame. Sorry to all of the fans. I can definitely appreciate some of the colorways, but it seems there's about a billion of them and many of them look alike. I like fucked up alien monsters, but I find the sculpts quite boring too.

I am probably one of the very few people that will admit to liking Skull Zombi stuff. BUT, I have to say that I HATE the Cheeser. The Skull Viking, who was released simultaneously with the Cheeser, is probably my favorite sculpt of their so far. Another thing I am starting to dislike is the recycling of the bodytypes.

Personally, I am not a huge fan of Secret Base. The only figures of theirs that I have managed to really get into are the 12" Henshin suits and the Obake Dogs. I like their sculpts and all, but none of their releases have made me bite on a fight figure.

I can say, without hesitation, that I hate Fatcaps.

toys that dont really do it for me are Hedorah and most real x head

I won't use the word "hate," but I'll second this opinion. I picked up a Grus and Prodon based on how they looked on the internet and was really disappointed once I actually had them in hand. They don't deliver too much fun.

This perplexes me because the entire bwana collection you love so dearly IS Hedorah..



PS. Im not into tttoys. I tried em and dont like em.

OK, yeah I HATE all the Medicom x SB stuff, it's total crap. I like SB, I like Medi, but like rap and metal, when they get together = BAD NEWS.

i just do not understand bemon love!!!! they seem sloppy to me...

or goga's,,,they look like godzilla with a brain tumour....(except for that one PK custom which is nice)

also the anraku shiny GID things,,,a few of them remind me of racist sambo dolls...just do not dig them

ok let me edit that. Gargamels Hedoran sculpts are really nice and look happy to me, all 3 of them but this hedorah is the one im talking about that i dislike:

Not much of a gore fan, so Pushead don't do nothin' for me. And I just don't get the appeal of Kaws. Hate is too strong of a word, though....

doragamels (awful imo)

cronic (except for the dorogamis, all the rest can suck it)

kaws dissected

actually pretty much all kaws stuff except for the pushead companion

rumble monsters pharoas

almost anything kozik 'hand' paints (the two zags i had were attrocious, i think he gave a sharpie to some parapalegic 5 year old... scratch that, if he did they probably wouldve looked better)

i havent seen bwana's killer in person, but the pics do absolutely nothng for me. it's a whale. ho hum.

there's probably more, but its time to focus on the positive. now on to toys i like...
