Post Dyed BLObPUS
Since we have been conjecturing about it recently, I finally gave it a shot with the RIT dye. The vinyl takes it up quite nicely, really.

First I tried testing out some colors on the scraps from one of those DIY Skullbee kits. My test vinyl was clear yellow to begin with and became a nice shade of blood orange very quickly. The clear BLObPUS turned a nice shade of pink.

I think I will keep customizing this one, but will try to keep this as a base tint to start with. Right now there is some holographic tinsel in there, but it doesn't show up very well because it is so thin...need to find my better tinsel that I misplaced!

I should have picked a different color though, because it is starting to look like a clone of your Wallyblob

The next one I will have to bust out a different scheme!

Hi PK, so did you just take the BP apart and soak the parts in the dye ? And for how long ? I think it's way cool ! Even as a base color, are you thinking of adding paint also ?

Yeah, I took it all apart first. You can manipulate the color by the time of immersion in the dye, but it doesn't take long to get a strong tint. (This one was only dunked for 2 or 3 minutes on average). Next time I'll wear gloves to keep my fingers tips from being dyed as well...

I am considering painting over parts of this one, but on the other hand it is nice the way it is...sort of like a rosy counterpart to the purplish invader version. Definitely if I dye my second one, I will have to do something more crazy with it in terms of paint. Now I need some more clear vinyl. I've got some more toys to experiment with, but still want others too. I think Blobpus looks especially good like this, so if anybody wants to sell me some clear ones, please holler.

Now somebody just needs to tiedye one of these suckers! LOL
