 Another Crap Movie
I just saw the trailer for the Underdog movie http://disney.go.com/disneypictures/underdog/ last night...looks like Disney has fucked this one up real good!
They can employ the top computer animators in the business, and instead of going with a cartoon, they animate a "real" dog...
What do you want to bet that Underdog no longer has a super energy pill in his ring's secret compartment?

I was just discussing that a sure fire way of ruining any film is including comedic animals.
On a plus note, there is a midget.

that was what my wife thought too...I can't blame a guy for selling some vocal work, but I'd certainly like to know his honest opinion on this movie...
it amazes me that millions of dollars get spent on making movies like this...and there are hundreds of examples...there are either some very good agents out there pushing lame ideas, or some very stupid studio execs that will happily buy a polished turd...most likely a combination of the two at work here...

My impression is that Jason Lee is hip and cynical enough to know that he's doing this strictly for the moola. If Sir Anthony Hopkins can narrate "Sigfried and Roy: The Magic Box in IMAX 3D" then why not?
Trailers look atrocious ... just idiotic. Not funny, not cool, just dead on arrival. Too bad, I loved the animated series when I was a little boy. I don't know how it would hold up, but if memory serves, it was pretty clever in a way that adults could appreciate. Plus ... voice of Wally Cox!
