ska sucks

You just made Prince Buster cry.

ahh...my first glimpse into ska..a friend had a video when i was 14. Boston had a great ska scene for years, it's too bad it's really tanked lately.

i saw one of the "ska revival" bands you guys mentioned last night, and i don't mind admitting that i really dig going to hear it once in a while.

the classic stuff is still best. the early Madness stuff was also pretty good...one step beyond and all..

I wish I could find it but The Onion once ran a headline that went something like,

"Ska Band Outnumber Audience"

Having gone to a few shows to support my friends in ska bands, I had a good laugh.

CT had a pretty big ska scene for a while. lead mostly by my boys spring heeled jack. unfortunately i had to witness a lot of them.

couple 'ska' bands i could get into...
NY Citizens
Spring Heeled Jack

and i don't really consider them ska, but the fucking mighty mighty bosstones are in my top 5 bands of all time! they cover metallica and throw in fucking barry manilow into the middle of the song. that shit is tight.

Just to follow up a post coming from Milwaukee.

Not a huge ska fan, but Ska + Milwaukee = Wild Kingdom. They were a cool band.
