I am getting out of the Halloween business this year, so if anyone is interested in a complete haunted house setup LMK. Full-size working guillotine, electric chair, winged animatronic monkey, and on and on. Six rooms worth of stuff. Must pick up in Chicago area. Since I don't drink, do drugs and am married hence not looking for action, Halloween parties thrown by my peers bore me. I feel like the whole holiday has been turned into an excuse to dress up and get jacked up. The fun I had as a kid is no where except with other little kids, which I have none of. But this year we live near my wifes little bro ans sisters so it might be fun again! I dunno what I wanna be but I'm working out a Bigaro costume with a hollowed out computer monitor muwahahaha!

Just how hot is that eyeball suit anyway? There is a bottom part to it as well, isn't there? The black suit paired with the eye gives it a definite Residents feel...makes me want to listen to Mark of the Mole...which, btw, is a fantastic Halloween record.
I have gone as a middle-aged drunk the past few Halloweens, and don't really see any need to change up my act this year...although my wife might want me to wear a costume this time!

dude, I could NOT agree with you more!!!
I hate how all Halloween parties are just raging frat parties with costumes (I don't drink or do drugs either). and girls just think it's an excuse to be practically naked. the forumula works like this:
the word sexy + (insert any other Halloween costume here) = sexy nurse, sexy pirate, sexy convict, sexy cat, sexy devil, etc.
LAME
I also can't stand Halloween shows. the last thing I want to do on that night is go watch some bands. that's not scary or spooky.
our guests do not know this yet, but we will most likely be having a very traditional party, with eyeball cupcakes and slimy green punch and all that kinda stuff. and they better like it. and if they don't, they can leave.
I'm so freakin excited already

Sounds like a killer party!
The only "Sexy ..." costume that made me really laugth was "Sexy ZEBRA" This was not a home made costume either, it was actually made by some company. My friend worked at a party store and that was pretty much one of the last costumes in stock after Halloween, we almost bought it out of the fact we didn't think anyone would believe us. It was a full body outfit of Zabra skin (and not tight either, looked like bad carpeting) and than on top of that was a bikini.
Only show I ever saw on Halloween that still made it "Halloween" was GWAR, but that's kinda how GWAR is. It's more than them just playing songs and than the obligatory Misfits cover for a Halloween show.

I once saw the crappy reunited Misfits on Halloween night. it wasn't that bad because it was right after they reformed and they only played old stuff, but that's one of the only shows I've ever been to on Halloween. there is so much else to do, so many other more important things.

Oh man. I love holloween. Specially since we moved into this new "hood".
It almost looks like the holloween scene in ET. Everybody goes all out with the decorations and everything. I'm already dusting off last years decos and am on the lookout to build on our growing holloween set up.

I went to see the Jon Spencer Blues Explosion once on Halloween.
By far one of the scariest nights of my life. They're great live, but man what a weird night.
