My guess looking at the tag is that this guy is not that old or that rare, but does anyone know name or history or if he has an older prior version? Surely cannot track this guy down no matter how late I stay up looking!

deoends on how you define rare.. they made a dungload of these to be sure but they are not as readily available as the Ultra series monsters or the Kamen Rider heroes. I am Waaaaaaaaaaaaay into Rider VIllians at the moment, most of the best ones never got made into figs...

agreed. or they got made into ugly realistic bandai figs when i'd rather have the lumpy out of proportion versions.

Thank you everybody! Will now commence searching with Ika Devil term. Still like the term "squid elvis", but no results there. And yes, some of the best kaiju reminds me of Lovecraft; a happy, non-bitter, yet still city-gobbling psychedelic and pastel colored goofy Lovecraft.
I'm pretty sure H.P. might not have liked that last line. Apologies to all; living, dead, undead and undecided.
