Post DamagedSuper 7 Mag
Hello Brian
I just got the latest issue of Super 7. It arrived folded in half, rubber-banded with a ton of bulk mail. Is there anything you can put on the mailing envelope such as " Fragile" or whatever to let the Post Office know not to molest the magazine? Could you use magazine boards and bags to protect them? would be willing to pay extra; as is stands now I am going to have to buy a mint replacement copy.

Thanks.

That sucks, sending a backing board in the envelope is a good idea. I will implement that one. Sorry your post office jacked yours. Let's talk.

I havent had a problem with my s7's yet (this one still isnt here),
but my post office seems to like to rip apart any art or photo magazine I ever get, just to make sure I don't enjoy it lol. You can try complaining to the district office, but it didn't really help here.

I left mine in a wine bar last night. I was showing it off to a bunch of wine snobs.

No, but I did leave the Loco at the same wine bar the night it was released.

It has a jLed [expletive deleted] on display too, but they keep getting swiped.

BTW - I owe Flynn a big thank you for not putting a picture of me holding a plush doll in the Magazine. I am already hard to look at but that picture was taken on my first trip out of the house after my stay in the hospital. I assume it would have been even creepier than the pictures in the pushead article. I was sporting a SB rain coat.

If you go to the Hidden Vine in SF tell the owners me and, if I am in town, I will be there within an hour. If I don't make it drinks are on me.

Your on. I'm only down in Carmel and all my family is up that way. I see your into food and wine also, ever been to the Rio Grill in Carmel or the Blue Moon in Monterey? My past life before I became a cushy corporate chef.

I go to Carmel a lot, my wife’s grandparents have lived there for over 30 years. They are real deal bohemians, her grandpa the west cost rep for Decca recordings during its heyday.

I never get to eat out, grandma loves to cook for us. I will try to hit the rio next time I am down that way.

I'm not at the Rio anymore, but the food is still rockin', smoked chicken. fire roasted artichoke, greens w/curry vin. Used to be part of the Mustard's group (Fog City, Bix, Tra Vigne, etc. .).

Post Mangled eh ?
Um... now I dont feel so bad for receiving my last issue in the same condition that Cralya commented on at the top of this topic.
And BTW I never did get a replacement copy either... at least not from Super 7. I had to go out and buy another on the stand... At least that way I was guaranteed a mint copy.
And I hear that #12 has been shipped out to subscribers ? I'm across the bay,
haven't received mine yet.....As far as I know I have two more issues on my sub to go.... :?
Any plans to change the shipping method ? I'd like to know before I renew.

Call it a complex but I think the US Postal System is deteriorating. At least here in Hurricane Katrina land they have an excuse...

Got my Issue of Super7 today in great shape.

While I don't "collect" magazines. I found out as a poor college student in the 90's they can come in handy for other things. No money for toilet paper you say? Wile the high gloss was slippery on the ass. If you crunched it up and rolled it around, it worked ok.

Why bring this up? Because with the amount of money I'm spending on toys these days you never know when you'll need a good magazine.

Moral of this story.....As long as I can read it, it's good to go.

Post Collecting Magazines
Well,

I don't collect most magazines; but I do collect Super 7 because besides
being very informative, it is art -great photography, design and high quality paper. TV Guide gets recycled; Super 7 gets Mylared.

Akumaizer -al the issues left same day, so I am not sure why yours would not have arrived. Also, I remember sending you a replacement last issue myself, sis you not get it? If you did not, there is a pattern developing with your postman I think. Having known you since the inception of S7, I personally made sure your copy went out. Please let me know when your new issue gets there, and yes, we will be boarding up future issues.
