20 minutes? shame. of all the docus I did interviews for this guy was the nicest and coolest guy. I had high hopes.

Well... in the "bonus features" there are a few complete interviews.
The one with you, Frank, was great.
I loved seeing your whole toy collection and hearing about what you like.

But, yeah... the creator could have done so much more with it.

I can't find any ordering information for Vinyl Frontier. Their site says it will be out in 2008. Also, none of them are listed in IMDB or Netflix. They should get them in there.

the 'toys r us' documentary is kinda short for what it promised to cover---even for a a Fresh Meat, this 20 mins or so isnt really worth 19usd imho. intv with flynn and kozik was interesting. but, was expecting more...i am definitely putting my hopes on the 'toypunks' docu.

They don't seem to be trying to accomplish exactly the same thing, though. Toys Are Us seems to address the scene in general with a focus on American artists, while Toypunks seems to focus only on the Japanese scene. (I use the word seems because I haven't seen either of these, yet.)

Toys R Us mostly covers western vinyl except S7s coverage of course. Loved the interview with Frank and Brian. Mars one sounded like he was high on something. Patrick Ma's wa OK. The parts with Drew Lippman always makes me laugh and that chick going apeshit over Voltair LOL. Oh Glenn was there too

right. i wasnt trying to say toypunks will accomplish or will focus on the same topic as in toys or overview of toy collecting in general.. what i meant was, in view of the recent docu releases--toypunks promises a more interesting view. this of course, is based on the tpunks blog and preview i saw...

its pretty short, but interesting to see all the dudes lively if u never met em before. lots of real cool western artists around like funny jermaine rogers.
also kind of weird to see all the western dudes who dont seem to be interested
in japanese history of toys or have any relation to that.
however yeah!!! drews part so funny & amusing,
brian talkin about early toys in the us was very very interesting,
same as mark nagatas view on the scene.
...oh and didnt know glenn has so many rare dummies.
more shots of his "one of a kind" collection was missed though.

Did anyone see the premier showing of this in SF the other week? Give me your thoughts on it if you did, please. I'd like to see it, but won't be making it to SDCC...

They were hyping this pretty hard last year in SD. then silence. I was wondering what happened to it. Supposedly there is footage of the many mey show at mishka in there. Any one gots more info?
