The new sculpt looks interesting, but I'd want to see it painted.
The last few sculpts did nothing for me.

Almost looks to have an Alien facehugger on the right side of the face.
And I like the right "hand". Would like to see it next to regular size figures to get a sense of the size. Hopefully the teeth wouldn't be as cheesy as that Cyclomanion.

I think the new sculpts exhibit symptoms of "Loose Nut Syndrome".
If you think of RxH sculpts as Black Flag Albums everyone loves "the first 4 years" but even tho Loose Nut is a good record, its no ones favorite Black Flag album. The Mad Barbarrians Sculpt is perhaps the Process of Weeding Out?</tangent>

I dont' see this at all like the MADHEAD figure. The madhead figure is 2 different halves. This one is only different at the head. The arms are different but just like the chaos it dosen't make me feel like 2 different figures in one.

I like the nuclear lemon gatchigon a lot! GID would have been nice, but I think this is better.

Very nice... I'm liking Gatchagon a lot. Wish I had the room to get them all.

When I was in Hawaii, I saw a lava flow named "Dragon's Teeth" that really reminded me of the torso section of Gatchagon.

The middle one kinda reminds me of the spare parts Bemons.
The one on the right is too similar to the Pink Cosmo.

I like the blue yellow color combo personally. I think Sunguts take on them are refreshing.

Wow...I dig the new sculpt...I really like the Samurai-esque style body armor ...I like the Skull & Eye too...it might work just as well with a Chaos eye.

It reminds me of the Mad Barabarian in the sculpt still, regardless of half bodies. It's just smoother and rounder, and all the bondage. Not a complaint, can't wait to see some painted versions.

My only problem with the new RxH stuff is choice of color/paint aps. Most don't do anything for me. Alot of unpainteds, and browns, and flesh, and black and white. I want some more vibrant choices. Love the sculpts, just not the paint/vinyl colors. Though Yellow Shinto is a knock out!

I'd love the sculpt if it weren't 'split' but more of a continuous mesh, if that makes sense. Chaos and Organ both have fucked up heads but they are one whole piece and not separated into two halves, or anything.

Makes perfect sense. Mori seems to be in a "half" or "dual nature" mood this past year. The half-human/half-beast body of Shintosan was much more subtle than this new guy's head. The one-horn deal is a bit like Mikazuki Joe, except the horn is on the other side. :-) Here's hoping to learn more about Mori's take on the character.

True but it looks to be cast out of Orange vinyl.

As for the new sculpt - kinda Borgish IMHO. Like it but it reminds me of a the first Ninja after a visit from the "cube".

Let's just hope that there WILL be some paint on this figure's editions. I think for example that M-Joe would be a lot more popular by now if more interesting colorways had been forthcoming.

No doubt. That pearl GID Mikazuki would RULE with some paint. I passed due to the lack of paint. But I think w/him and Ryusie the dudes at Ichibanboshi decide what gets made, right?

But no paints are so easy and cheap to produce.

Certainly they are - after deducting the $10,000 required for sculpt, wax and die...
This was a test shot on display. Watch for painted versions coming soon!

I was being semi sarcastic there, and not referring to this test shot, but the stream of unpainteds (sp?) across the year, culminating with the flesh sets. I may be wrong but it seems like RxH releases more blanks than other companies.
