Found this really wonderful mini dinosaur set. I don't think anything really rare just simple but well sculpted figures with nice simple paint sprays.
Little prehistoric gems!
The back of the box pictures a mammoth but the set was complete with the four figures. Maybe the Mammoth was part of another set or they changed their mind since he wouldn't have made sense being grouped with dinosaurs from the Jurassic period?!

Very nice pick up. Like the paint. Strange about the Mammoth, not even identified on the back of the package.

Wow. They are amazing. Great sculpts and paint. Love the way the T-Rex has an articulated head. On the box it looks like others should have articulation in other limbs but don't. Also would be cool if the mammoth was included. Any idea of what year?

There is is some serious detail on those sculpts for a kids toy. Better than some toys these days.

The company name appears to be on the back bottom of the box between the green Triceratops and the "safety Toy" ST mark. It looks like Hearty Robin. Check this link out for more infohttp://www.toyboxdx.com/datafiles/data/robin/
While this version of the name does not appear in the article, I would guess late 1980s to early '90s.

always love to see more dinos . about how big are thoses ?

The T-Rex is about 4 inches tall, the bronto is six inches long. Fun size!
There is so much I like about these, in particular their realistic contrast to other
more stylized vintage dinos.

There's a certain charm in the older depiction of dinosaurs as giant, tail-dragging lizards. I remember that all of my childhood toys and books drew Tyrannosaurs in the same way- apparently until the scientists determined that dinosaurs were actually hybrid bird-lizard things.

Seeing these makes me a little nostalgic.

Also, the Triceratops totally has shifty eyes. Watch out Rex, he's gunning for you!

Yeah they are nostalgic for me as well. They remind me of the old classroom dinosaur dioramas and until recently I could not pinpoint which posters of dinos those were.
Then as i read the Masters of Monsters Tsuburaya book, there it was, the Rudolph Zallinger dinosaur diorama. A classic!

HOLY CRUD! I totally had these when I was a kid, the mammoth too, my grandma might still have them if she didn't sell them off at a garage sale, pretty beat up anyways, the mammoth was my favorite toy because I used to love the exhibit at the Le Brea tarpits.

hey collin shots , phone your grandma and get your toys back ! these have got to be the smallest mini vinyl dinos i have ever seen . the comparo shot sucks but will give an idea how small they are .

thats the first time i have seen this popy dino . interesting . wonder if they made any more than just the t rex .

the yellow and black dinos are nakajima . i think mark k has these in red and black . the other dino i have no idea though it does have japanese writing on it .
