Post eBay: Second Chance Offer -> weird!
Got a mail, only a mail, not a message in "my ebay" for a "Second Chance Offer".
its for the kaws pushead set with the silver, black und GID which runned out a few days ago. I didnt won it (sold for over 1.000$) and now this "offer"... I have no experiences with second chance offers. the seller (if he is the seller) wants my name and full adress "to start the transaction". is that normal??? does he realy need my fiull name and adress BEFORE we deal? and is it normal to get such an offer without (the mail looks like ebaymails) without any ebay messages on "my ebay" about it? please help me out!!!!

thanks!

...yeah, its realy strange. he doestn answers me (the first responses came very fast) since I wrote him in the third mail, that he can get my adress from ebay after we dealed and that Im confused that there“s no message in "my ebay". the very first mail looked like a normal ebaymail, well some little things are odd in that mail too.
Im quite sure now that its a swindle. I also wrote a mail to the real seller, over ebay, but no response yet.

damn, the offer with the 3 kaws pusheads for 730$ was to good to be true...

seems like there are some bad guys out there which are trying to rip off people with faked kaws pushead offers in the name of ebay. BEWARE!

DO NOT SEND ANYTHING...

there have been several ebay scams lately that prey on "second chance offers" Here is a good resource for info on ebay scams...
http://forums.ebay.com/db2/thread.jspa? ... 8614676817

If you are unsure about about it still...just email ebay and ask them if it is a legit offer through ebay..

Hope this helps...

Although I agree with augustwest that it's a good idea to verify this with eBay, second chance offers can be legitimate. I've had a couple of these. In my case the seller actually had two of the same article and offered it to me at my final bid price on close of the auction. In the second instance, the winning bidder had pulled out and as such this left me in line for the prize.

thank you very much for your quick answers!

I checked the link, sounds exactly like my situation. maybe the real seller answers me and everything goes directly over ebay. if not, I can be sure that it is a swindle.

I actually grabbed a second chance offer recently as well.
I verified the offer through ebay, and when I bought the item it was through an auction page that was only available to me, with a Buy It Now for my bid price... all went smooth the seller was great and even threw in free shipping as a reward for taking the 2nd chance offer.

Here is the auction i lost:

here is the 2nd chance i won;
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 6617693536

he smells like he spent his entire life in an incense smoke filled head shop, but he has been rescued, had a bath and Mr. Natural now sits proudly next to my VW Buses. 8)

BE VERY VERY CAREFUL WITH ALL SECOND CHANCE OFFERS!!!!!!!!!!!!

Always forward to ebay for confirmation.
This is the latest way Scammers are using to rob people. A friend of mine was almost scammed yesterday this way.
All second chance offers should be routed through ebay. If they aren't, don't respond. Forward them to ebay's spoof email account for confirmation. And also, if it is a scam they can begin investigating these assholes.

if the 2nd chance offer is not in your ebay mail box it is fake. I have had this happen more than once.
