Upon closer inspection of a portion of said picture, I have come to the conclusion it is not JC at all:



On a serious note though, Estimated age of the photo – 33 years old, strangely enough the age JC was when he died. (if you believe all that stuff)

This is complete bullshit, I can’t believe people fall for this crap. Also, this sentence didn’t make any sense:

Good thing they arent trying to capitalize off of JC or anything. They have good intentions right? They only want everyone to see it.

It almost makes me want to ask them a bunch of asinine questions about it in hopes that they take me seriously.

My favorite part is that they are INCREASING the price by a cool mil every 10 days.

it must be some kind of insane joke...nobody could be that stupid and naive, the sheer irony of attempting to sell something thats so 'divine' makes my head hurt. If you believe in such an item so much why would the person want to part with it. Ridiculous is too weak a word to describe this stunt lol.

I think that we should take it for granted that this person is retarded and stop being surprised at various elements of the auction.
First and foremost, they are under the impression there is a god.
Right there, you know that you are not dealing with someone working from a rational point of view.
Furthermore, their god has appeared in the clouds to them.

There's always some miraculous image of JC or his virgin mom for sale at eBay. Usually on a tortilla or a washcloth or a piece of toast. Usually the seller is a little less rant-y though. I like the whole "if you say anything against my the authenticity of my beliefs, I'm gonna go tell eBay on you!" theme. Like they care.

I just hope you haven't ruined this auction for me by posting the link...I plan on flipping it for double at Christmas...

You guys might see me before then, pushing around a picture of Hey-Zeus around the country in a shopping basket (complete with wobbly wheel) that I stole from the grocery, selling quick peeks at the holy countenance for a buck or two. Crazy, homeless, and most likely bitter, but in possession of an authentic $16 million picture of JC in the clouds...

Best thing about this auction is that it is listed under "Weird Items"...must be pretty hard to accurately categorize a holy relic! Sad, but true that this is the most fun I've had this morning...

I think it's funny that pictures of JC always look like he does in the old paintings from I guess what would be Western Europe. ya know, the ones painted by guys who never laid eyes on the man?

Watched a documentary the other week that attempted to prove Jesus was a mythological figure rather than a real person. I think religion is a bunch of hooey, so I admit I'm not too educated on the topic. But the main point that was made is that Jesus died around 30ish AD, and the first written document that mentions him doesn't appear until 70ish AD - so for 40 years he was "forgotten", and all "remembrances" of him were by people that had never known him or seen him. Basically, his life & death were written by people that weren't alive when Jesus was suppose to have lived.

SO true and I always forget about that. Humans didnt really look like that back then and it wasnt until Western Europeon painters started to depict Jesus in this way that the view changed.
