 Re: Election discussion thread.
I just saw on the news..Palin "pardoned" one turkey for Thanksgiving setting it free...and then for the after interview... She's talking to the reporter and the guy in back of her is slaughtering turkeys.
Clueless..
Not going to post the video but it's all over the web.

Re: 44th American President discussion thread.
Yesterday my manager told us she was trying to get a TV set up so we can watch the inauguration at the office.
I asked her if I could watch Battlestar Galactica instead.
That didn't go over too well.

Re: 44th American President discussion thread.
I voted for Obama simply because I could not deal with republicans holding that office for another second. The age old "lesser of two evils" argument. BUT I'm beginning to realize what I already knew an feared with Obama/democrats. It simply does not matter who is in office. Both parties are under complete control of corporations. The republicans basically just seem stupid, outlandish, and blatant about stealing and their little morality trips into religion. Which makes me hate them more.
If Obama is really FOR CHANGE, he needs to get his head out of his ass and stop trying to bank on what past presidents did. He's not a Lincoln/FDR/Kennedy combo. Borrowing money to basically put money into the economy is still going to leave the country in more debt. Here's how you actually change the direction this country is going in: Create jobs by putting money in green technology. Don't just dance around it either. Completely set everything in motion going towards that and not just stick your foot in the water. You help the environment as a side benefit, you create jobs/industry based on it. Don't keep handing deals to the auto makers, banks, and corporations that got us into this mess and keep everything the same. It's like handing heroin to a recovering junkie.

Man, Skullbrain was crawling for me today. Then corporate sent out an email about how they were suspending video and audio streams for the day. Now it flies!

Re: 44th American President discussion thread.
Exciting and inspiring inauguration ceremony! Now time to roll up the sleeves and make some good things happen!
Also, there is still plenty of time to hate on Bush and Cheney (and Rumsfeld)---just because they're out of office doesn't mean that they are off the hook for screwing up this country (and possibly yours as well).

I am happy that Bush is out of office today. I'm also proud to have Obama as president.

Our company sent out the same memo. Our internet access was and is still blocked but we managed to watch it via my co-workers little tv with foil antenna mod. We couldn't really see the events as the reception was crappy but at least we could hear him.

my work never came out to say that they were blocking video, but they were. i could hear the audio feeds, but the video halted and never came back. the weird thing is, i shut down the links and i can still hear the audio link to msnbc. big brother wants me to listen?? looking forward to the future of our country. hopefully we can turn around the past administration's blunders.

Re: 44th American President discussion thread.
When I saw the cameras cut to George Lucus standing in the crowd on Sunday enjoying the musical celebration of todays actual event, I finally knew that the Bush/Sith Lord was on his way out. I feel like an ewok, with the ghosts of Lincoln, FDR, and Kennedy also present.

That's me from about 6 years ago. Thought it looked like one of Kozik's Japanese office slaves: Kaiju-certified, American style. I do need to add some scales up the back and red eyes, but am too lazy.
