 Re: random bullmarks
How much did the flesh Aian set you back (in general terms) I looked long and hard at one this trip, but did not pull the trigger, it looked a little too clean. I am starting to regret it. Hit me on email if you don't want to discuss it in public.

 Re: random bullmarks
What's the deal with that color variant of Metron? Is that the "mainland" Japanese version as opposed to the much more common Hawaii paint scheme?

I never can seem to get one. always by one bid. This one has a special base vinyl(flesh). Not sure if it is japanese or hawaii. The normal export one has green spray i believe

 Re: random bullmarks
Back on the subject of Metron or Metoron... I just discovered this toy, and I really like him. I found this colorful guy on the Marmit site, looks like he was made available this year then I read through the "Vintage Hawaiian Bullmark" thread and saw this one that Kaiwi posted viewtopic.php?f=30&t=14140 He mentioned that the flesh-colored foot was a characteristic of the Hawaiian version I am curious to know what other versions are/were made, and where to find them. I tried searching on Celga, Super 7, and Google, but no luck, except for the new Marmit 2008 toy. I'd love to see what other versions look like and if they are reasonably affordable or sky-high expensive? Also found this web link for a good description of character history... http://jimbobwan.com/art65.htm

 Re: random bullmarks
Patience, dude, patience. Keep checking ebay, YJA and perhaps this board (I only list this board as a last option because most people here tend to sell new vinyls, very little vintage stuff changes hands).
Many of the people who collect vintage vinyl have been into this for years, if not decades. Metron is common - but that doesn't mean one pops up ever week or even every month. They will eventually come up on one of the auction sites (I'd recommend a store except there really aren't any stateside that specialize in vintage vinyl except for the occassional piece here and there like Super 7 carries). And you should be able to pick up a Metron for less than $100.00 if you're lucky, but it's a waiting game.
Hang in there - you should find one soon.

I suppose it's time to post in the WANT section? I've always just kept a personal want list on paper (it has grown quite long over time ), as sometimes my aging brain forgets what they hell I'm searching for when I start hunting. It tends to also help me stay focused, by sticking to the list...and avoiding the impulse buys. ...I find that something on my list is always popping up through the various outlets.
