Tripod legs would have been awesome! I'll put my final opinion on hold until I see a better photo - we really can't see much of anything except a basic shape in the first photo.

I still like it a lot. I can't wait to see better pictures and some paint on it.

It looks like the vinyl castings lost a lot of the detail that's present in the original wax sculpt. The orange pull shows the sculpt off better than the bagged photo, but the texture seems to lack the high contrast peaks and valleys of the original sculpt. I still might have to get one because I love the idea...still have to wait and see.

for me, i was more hoping that the proto is black.

I like it a lot...the pics make me think of coral.
The only issue I would have is how the neck joins the body...not a very smooth transition.
Paint is going to finish this nicely...plus I love all the pose options.

I'm with NT. But then again, it could be the uniform glossiness of the orange vinyl that's obscuring the detail. I think the original grey pic Joe reposted on the first page seems to show a lot more sculpt detail because the material is matte and the lighting seems to be a point source, rather than diffused (resulting in harder shadows). That added contrast makes the machine parts really stand out from the organic bits.

If the production paint job restores that contrast between the machine and organic bits, I'd say it'll be a big winner.

I think the sculpt kicks ass...but it needs to be a different color with some paint.

So is this out for sale yet? The Zollmen website hasn't featured any information.

i believe the next release is already lined-up,,i am sure it will be a painted version too...

The face is awesome.

I will definitely be wanting one of these.

A clear 'stealth / invisible' version would be very nice.
