Can it be transformed ?

No. Those are all different robots made by Fewture. I wish I had picked up that Getter 1 when someone was selling it here a couple years back...

This is a new version which to be released in 2009. If you miss the previous one, I think there is still chance to grab one shortly

Really?
What's different about it though?

pretty subtle differences.
slight colorway changes such as green in Getter 3 arms.
The huge double ax which also serves at the wings for Getter 1
pretty much a straight re-release me thinks except for a couple minor tweaks.
i just wish they were in a different colorway altogether.

Yep pretty much a re-issue but a great way for folks who missed the first wave to grab these beauties.

These are fantastic, but way expensive. I just wish they made them a smaller scale and brought the price down a little.

One thing to watch out for is if they can replicate QC on par with the first wave of Getters. Recent releases (Mazingers & Juohmaru) have had a spike with issues relating to poor paint apps. Don't wanna drop $350 on sloppy reissues intended just to milk yer wallets.

QC problems??
I've heard nothing about that. I reviewed their first run of Great Mazingers a while back for
CollectionDX. Believe me, it was
nothing but bad-fucking-ass.
If you're into this sort of toy--the aesthetics of the sculpt, huge size, heavy diecast, and stiff, clicky joints--then you're NOT going to go wrong with these things. Simple as that.

Great to hear that you own one in perfect condition but from what I've read during the Mazinger releases there was an apparent drop in QC (again mainly with paint apps) seemingly getting worst with the recent Juohmaru. EX-Gokins are kick ass toys and there's no question about that. My Juohmaru had a significant paint rub on it's face and I still love it. Was it worth the the $250? Hell ya!! But not everyone will feel the same especially if we're debating about spending $350 each on Getters that may not deliver in terms of QC. Just a word of caution that's all. Maybe they'll clean up their act?

the Black Getter is one of my all-time favorite pieces....
Tue Jan 27, 2009 9:03 am
The original red/white is my favorite - which is good, because the secondary price on the black one is ridiculous!
If anyone wants to PM me with when/where/how to order the rerelease Getter I'd be fine with that.
