 that little Wolverine movie...
not sure if anyone caught it...but a leaked copy (a working copy) of the new wolverine movie was on the web the last day or so...wondering if anyone else caught it.
I know it's bad to judge it from a cut that still has a lot of work left...but special effects can't mask bad melodrama. it was cool to see some classic characters in the movie though...

 Re: that little Wolverine movie...
I'm just hoping for some fun action and claws. I don't have a lot invested in the character, so as long as it's just dumb fun I'm OK.

I saw a trailer finally and wasn't that impressed. Thought it looked like a CGI mess. I'll still see it though.

 Re: that little Wolverine movie...
Couldn't agree more. I hate that scene or when he runs down the hall with his claws and pretty much the whole preview... This movie looking incredibly bad. B-level. Reminds me of Daredevil. It's to bad that the franchise took a wrong turn. I felt it was a very amateur preview. The Star Trek preview was aweseome and I hate star trek. But I thought the preview was so well executed.

 Re: that little Wolverine movie...
since i've learned to take comic based movies a little lighter with criticism, i'm kinda looking forward to some deadpool action in this one. i'm not diehard enough to watch a leaked workprint or anything though. i'll just wait for the dvd release...

 Re: that little Wolverine movie...
Bring it. I don't plan on seeing it. Probably ever.
I thought what's hiz face was a great choice to play Wolvie b4 X-Men came out. But the character is just WAY too toned down for me. Where's all the rage? So disappointing.

 Re: that little Wolverine movie...
A friend told me he read an article that said the FBI is getting involved in this leak. This has the potential to sink this movie which should be THE "summer blockbuster". I could see from the online trailers that it was looking rather weak.
Wolverine is obviously a fan favorite and with good reason but I think the writers made a mistake when they wrote into the comics that Wolverine had his claws from birth. Until then, it was accepted that he was a mutant because of his healing factor. Not because he was some sort of wolf-boy monster or whatever. Maybe I'm wrong, I know he'd go all Berserker and stuff but I didn't read all the Wolverine books. I always understood that the claws were part of the adamantium skeleton.
Same thing with Daredevil. Making him beat up the kids in his neighborhood like a junior ninja is just a poor way of making that movie "kid accessible" and it shouldn't have been. I can't remember if they used that idea in the comic books but I would have voted against it.
Harvey Keitel would have made a good Wolverine.

 Re: that little Wolverine movie...
I always liked the idea of the bone-claws. It makes him more animalistic, which is his OVERALL mutant power. Not just fast healing, but increased senses overall (smelling, etc.)

I guess I just prefer to think that, because of his healing factor, the addition of the claws was more feasible.

 Re: that little Wolverine movie...
from the previews, it looks BETTER than any of the X movies. but thats just from a comic nerd who found the X-Men movies lame. this one looks a little more character-driven. in any event it can't be worse than Elektra, which made the Daredevil movie seem like fine cinema.

I always assumed the healing factor was there to heal the wounds that get made when he pops his claws. I know this flick is going to suck but I'm still so fanboy pumped for it.

He was offered the part, well according to him, but denied it since (sensibly!) he's not an actor, he's a musician. I mean, sure he's the right height, has the chops and is all buffed up (well....was, haven't seen him lately) but have you ever seen any interviews with him? They're funny but NOT on purpose, and I just can't see Wolvie with a NJ accent.

It's not up to par with the X-Men movies. Silly, uninteresting, boring, slow paced, etc.Maybe worth a rental, if you have a free one coming up!

Once you think about Danzig doing stuff other than kicking everybody's asses while wearing a Wolverine costume it kinda falls flat. Good call, dude.

 Re: that little Wolverine movie...
My gf is a huge wolverine fan, she liked the whole movie. I thought it was pretty good, deadpool was awesome, one of my favorite characters. I found it entertaining the whole time.
As for the claw debate, if they weren't bone exactly how would they work? Would that meanthey would have had to implant electronics into his arm as well as the metal? Comic geeks probably started prying to hard into that so they B.S.'d the whole born with it crapola. Danzig as wolverine would have been worse than when the others did wrestling, just saying.
